El Lawrence another 'unique' color May 5, 2013
Reviewer: G. J. JENSEN from IDAHO FALLS, ID United States
This is going to become a 'new favorite' in my selection of writing inks. I like using this as a 'warm' black when I want something other than a stark neutral black for letter writing. The fluorescent properties also make it a great 'security ink' for check writing.

It's an excellent performer for writing with the vintage dip pens/nibs that I use every day. There's virtually no discernible feathering or bleeding on any of the paper grades that I've tried [from recycled pulp through 100% cotton].

UV-Fluorescence: As with most of the Noodler's inks with fluorescent properties, you won't see the fluorescence on any papers that have fluorescent brighteners.

Waterproof Properties: This ink is very waterproof. However, you can see a very pale brownish-yellow [e.g., 'oil-colored'] halo or 'wash' around the written text after soaking the paper under running water. But it's barely perceptible and doesn't detract from the written text which remains clear and 'crisp'.

Lawrence of Arabia April 12, 2013
Reviewer: Chuck Roemer from Indianapolis, IN United States
This is a different ink; it's the color of the dark khaki uniform of the British WW I officer.  In the first pen I tried it in, it didn't flow as freely as I liked.  I switched to my Ahab with a Goulet nib, and there was no dryness whatever.  I like the color very well.  It's not a super-fast drying ink, but it's manageable.

Noodler's El Lawrence April 11, 2013
Reviewer: Alan Edwards from Broadstairs, Kent United Kingdom
This is my second bottle of El Lawrence and at first a little disapointed because it is an entirley different colour from the original.  The first was an olive colour that was reminiscent of old maps,  this version is virtually black.  A good ink however, bombproof and a reliable good starter,  not the colour I was expecting but very usable.

Gorgeous color March 18, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Pasig, MM Philippines
The color is an olive green on the grey side, darkish but visibly olive, and it flows well in my Bexley Ohio with a medium nib. Fantastic service from Goulet, as always.

Ok color February 20, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from CO United States
I was not really impressed by this ink. It came mostly black out of my Lamy Safari. There are hints of brown/green but not as interesting as Burma Road Brown in my opinion. Glad I bought just the sample.

Edit: I mixed a 50/50 solution of El Lawrence and Apache Sunset (both Noodler inks) and it came out a *beautiful* copper brown. Pretty light color so for a darker color I would probably add less apache sunset. Worth a try if you have the two samples.
