Beautiful, interesting colour. It was a gift for my friend.

beautiful shading February 9, 2013

I love the color variation in this ink. Some letters look a bit orange/yellow others are a dark red. This is a fun color to write with.

Beautiful colour, though a bit feather-y February 5, 2013
Reviewer: M. Hansen from Michigan, USA
The colour of this ink went beyond my expectations, and on certain papers it can be truly, pleasantly, surprising (I've tried in on heather cover-stock, and gotten the most luminescent burnt orange!). My only complaint would be the high degree of feathering on lower quality paper.

Noodler's Antietam February 5, 2013
Reviewer: Jonathan Gutierrez from Fort Wayne, IN United States
Of all the inks I have Noodler's Antietam is my favorite. It's a nice deep, rusty, and earthy red and also has a decent amount of shading (although nothing too extreme). The ink has worked well with all of my pens and I haven't had a problem with hard-starts or skipping because of the ink.
I tend to lean towards deeper and darker colors and Antietam is perfect if that's what you're looking for.
When I bought Antietam I didn't think I'd be able to write with it often because red isn't one of those "standard writing colors" (black and blue), but I've actually used this color pretty often and gotten away with it as a student. I love it and definitely recommend it.
As far as drawbacks go, when working with the ink it does look like blood. I had a few stains on my hand that made it look like I was bleeding and when I wiped excess ink on a paper towel or something it looked like I had just wiped up blood. Shocked my fiancée a few times.

Yay, another bottle! February 4, 2013
Reviewer: Andrew H from Berkeley, California
My favorite shade of red. Looks beautiful with a flex or broad italic nib.
