Interesting brown July 27, 2011
Reviewer: Ellen from Chagrin Falls, OH United States
Really the color of  the dregs of tea in a cup as it says in its French name.  I like it.  Great to be able to sample inks via Goulet Pen Co.  before committing.

CafŽ des ëles & Lie de ThŽ February 22, 2011
Reviewer: J
CafŽ des ëles is a red-brown, while Lie de ThŽ is, in my opinion, a pure brown. Some reviews elsewhere on the internet have said that Lie de ThŽ has an unattractive green tinge to it; I noticed a very slight hint of green or yellow only when the ink level in my pen got so low that it started writing dryly, and when I compared Lie de ThŽ side-by-side the reddish CafŽ des ëles.

Like all of the J. Herbin inks I have tried, these two were well-behaved, with low saturation and fairly short drying times.
