I purchased one with a fine nib, and have written with it everyday for 3 weeks, and am very pleased. Key aspects:
- Threads function smoothly, no catching or hesitation, tighten securely
- Clip is secure, no lateral movement, strong hold, with a lovely subtle styling
- Section is well shaped and comfortable, same material as cap and barrel, looks good on this model
- Lovely two-tone Edison nib perfectly tuned out of the gate. Smooth writer with a generous but not excessive flow, small and perfect amount of feedback from the page
- I don't post pens, and find this one very well balanced.
- Solid quality cartridge converter
The balance, weight and smoothness make this my Go To writer at work and at home. I invariably bring out the Edison when I need to get the job done.
And the final point - it's truly a beautiful pen! The styling is bold and straightforward, strong but not at all overbearing.
All to say - a Great pen, and I love it!

My new favorite pen

I'm a huge fan of most anything purple and when I saw the samples I was looking forward to adding this to my growing collection of pens. This was my first non-commodity pen and it is driving me towards the smaller companies who make quality products like Bryan Gray at Edison Pen. The coloring was better than the web site shows but I think it's because of the depth of the chatoyancy is hard to capture with a camera. I asked for the gold clip and the gold two tone colored nibs that are used on the Cappuccino model because I think it looks dressier. I also ordered the broad nib in the gold two tone. The fine nib writes flawlessly and is the smoothest writing fine nib I own. Thanks for the beautiful pen

A real eye-opener

Never owned a pen this nice before, so it was a really eye-opening experience. The color is just as I hoped - a dark, rich purple that a man can easily pull off. Writes excellently, and it's very comfortable. Lighter than I expected.
