Very Happy April 14, 2013
Reviewer: Mahesh Mokhashi from Paradise Valley, AZ United States
As requested they wrote a full page with the fine nib I purchased and made sure there is no skipping or hard starts. Had the pen within 3 days

Decent pen, stiff nib. April 8, 2013
Reviewer: Nicholas K. from Chicago, IL
Overall, I do like the pen, I really do. It has a nice feel, smooth seams, and looks great. I feel as though I was expecting something more from this pen though. The nib that came with it (steel fine) was very rigid and skipped. That was no big deal, Brian Gray agreed to take a look at the nib and figure out what was wrong with it. In the meantime, I ordered some nibs (fine and extra-fine) tuned by a nib meister. With those nib, the pen was definitely better and the best it could be. Somehow though, it just felt kind of cheap. Maybe it is just too light or too small for me, but the pen feels slightly insignificant. I have large hands, so this may sway my opinion. I don't know if I'll be purchasing another Edison, but I know that I still have a very nice pen.

A beautiful pen, but . . . February 9, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Illinois
I believed that this would be the best and last fountain pen that I'd ever purchase but I have been disappointed with this pen.  PROS: a gorgeous pen with a beautiful gold plated nib; the long nib makes it look very feminine and tasteful; the brown swirls are very beautiful; a "fine" nib is definitely a fine nib.
CONS: when I use this pen probably 1 time out of 5 my finger has ink stains on it; even though I carry it in a pen holder in an upright position, it has leaked in my purse; due to the length of the nib, at times it has been difficult to fill in a Herbin ink bottle which has been partially used.  Yes, it's a beautiful pen but I can't say that I've been happy with it.  Sorry.

Beautiful Pen but Featherweight October 15, 2012
Reviewer: T. M. Ellis from Gainesville, FL United States
The Goulet Pen Company requested feedback on my recent purchase of an Edison Nouveau Pemiere.   As other’s have pointed out, the pen is very attractive.  I chose a fine steel nib and it writes beautifully; in fact, the nib seems superior to some of the much more expensive gold nibs I have used.    This is a delightful pen.

For my hand, at 17g, the Nouveau Pemiere seems a bit too light and fragile for everyday use.   Also because of its mass, torque generated when writing quickly can transfer to the coupler between the nib section and barrel causing it to loosen.

Goulet’s ordering process is remarkable, the status of a purchase is updated often and delivery is prompt.

As close to flawless as it gets September 18, 2012
Reviewer: Dale Snow from Baltimore, MD United States
I have really enjoyed using this pen; it has replaced everything else I own, at least for now. Especially pleased that the F nib creates a true fine line. It's neither too wet nor too dry, but just right.
