Like the color, dries up in feed October 27, 2014
Reviewer: Shan Reddy from Las Vegas, NV United States
I love the color, but I have had some quality issues with the ink in some of my pens, especially Lamy pens. After extensive cleaning of my brand-new Lamy Al-Star, I tried this ink as the first on in this pen, but it would not write. After madly turning the converter, back and forth, ink would flow, but for some reason I would get a few words out, but then it would skip and stop. Very frustrating. If you're looking for a reliable, light sky blue ink like US Constitution by De Atramentis, go with Noodler's Upper Ganges or Pelikan Royal Blue 4001. Both are better choices, in my opinion.

A Nice, Pale Blue April 1, 2014
Reviewer: Philip Trent from South Bend, IN United States
This ink is currently in a TWSBI Classic with a 1.1mm nib. It is a good, light color of blue with virtually no shading, even with a broad nib. It is a nice color for work as it is a professional looking blue.

I carry a fountain pen because a wide nib makes my middling handwriting look much better and hence, shading has evolved to become important to me as well. So even though the color is very nice, if not understated, I was missing any sort of shading in this ink.

I decided to experiment. After a few trial and errors as an ink mixologist, I ended up adding about 3ml of Iroshizuku Asa-Gao to 30ml of this ink and came out with a slightly more saturated blue that now has the element of shading that I was looking for.

In the end, this is not a pure review of the ink as-is in a pen as much as a review of this ink as the basis for a very nice blue with the shading that does a stub nib proud.

A nice ink, but..... September 12, 2013
Reviewer: John B. from Edwardsville, IL United States
I liked this ink after receiving a sample in July's Ink Drop, so I ordered a bottle.  It's a nice color, a light slate blue, with shading similar to a colored pencil's tone.  However, this ink is best served in medium+ nib pens,  I feel, as it really looks washed out when writing in fine nibs.

Kind of blah July 11, 2013
Reviewer: Nick from Mountain View, CA
I was really looking forward to this ink, but it was disappointing. It's a little more on the wet side, with no shading effects, and a tiny bit of feathering on the Triomphe paper pads. So on paper, it looks fairly flat and boring to me.

I tend to use stub and flex nibs, so inks with shading and no feathering play best with those nibs. This ink looks boring in those broad strokes because it is so flat.
