Bottom Shelf: This pen has been gently used, but is otherwise in great shape. While every effort to clean these pens is made, as they are not brand new, you might see residual ink or water. All Bottom Shelf sales are final.
S.T. Dupont adds the Atelier Natural Lacquer to their finest collections. An authentic urushi lacquer is hand gathered and blended like wine by their master lacquerers. This type of lacquer has a sheen and depth that no synthetic can equal. Using an age-old technique called Popot, the urushi lacquer is then hand-applied over a solid brass body, distributed evenly to ensure a silk-like feel and a high resistance to scratches and heat. Each pen is then engraved with a tree leaf symbol to display that the urushi lacquer is authentic. Details such as the date 1953 and the Dupont winged wheel symbol are etched on each piece to notate the founding date of the Favergee workshop. Handcrafted in France, the blue urushi lacquer finish is adorned with gold-plated fittings. When opening and closing the pen, their signature ‘pop’ sound can be heard. This large size pen comes with a 14k gold nib.
Each fountain pen receives over 150 handcrafted operations and controls to ensure writing perfection. The fountain pen features S.T. Dupont's famous 'click' to echo their famous lighter 'cling'. The fountain pen is enhanced with the S.T. Dupont 14k gold nib, and fills via cartridge/converter (included).
With the natural lacquer exclusive patina effect, each piece is one of a kind. While the procedure remains the same, the result is always different. Depending on the color contrasts obtained, the handmade production process gives the product its very own depth and soul.
New Line D Pen Collection
The Line D is S.T. Dupont’s classic line of fine writing instruments. A signature of 145 years of S.T. Dupont family history and pride, the Line D stands as the corporate seal. Recently the Line D was updated with a newly recognized identity showcasing the brand's ‘blazon’ signature embellished on the new articulated clip, the Signature D initial magnified in a cursive script atop the pen cap, and the distinctive sound of the cap opening and closing remaining evident.
Made at the factory in Faverges, every Line D is crafted from brass and painted with natural Urushi lacquer. Following the geometries of divine proportion the pen has the ideal balance and weight and is offered in two sizes: medium or large. The collection is available in many different natural lacquer colors with a choice of palladium or gold finishes.
S.T. Dupont is a leading brand of luxury products designed and made in France. Founded in Paris in 1847 by its namesake Simon Tissot Dupont, today S.T.
