This Retro 51 Tornado rollerball pen is designed after the Space Shuttle Discovery. This white twist-action rollerball pen is completed with black accents and the Smithsonian logo on the top disc. It is packaged in a commemorative tube that doubles as a pen stand, and comes loaded with a black rollerball refill that flows with a medium stroke.

The Space Shuttle Discovery first went into orbit in 1984 as part of NASA's Space Shuttle program, and was the third of five fully operational orbiters to be built, preceded by Columbia and ChallengerDiscovery carried the Hubble Space Telescope into orbit, and also performed both research and International Space Station assembly missions. It was finally retired in 2011, and is now on display at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum annex in Virginia.

Uses the Retro 1951 Tornado rollerball refill.

These pens are individually numbered but not limited in quantity.
