on saleNettuno God of the Sea Fountain Pen (Limited Edition)
Completely handmade in Naples, Italy, this Nettuno God of the Sea limited edition fountain pen is a beauty. It features a striking resin in swirls of blue, reminiscent of the deep water of the Mediterranean Sea and representative of Neptune, the mythological Roman god of the sea. The custom resins are handmade, and no two are exactly alike (our pictures are representative).
The pen is fitted with rose gold-plated sterling silver trim. The wave motif in the centerbands and the top of the cap is modeled after ancient mosaics found in the destroyed city of Pompeii, which is not far from Nettuno’s location in Italy (see picture - taken during Brian & Rachel Goulet's trip to Pompeii in 2018). The clip features the trident, symbol of Neptune, and the cap screws to open.
It is finished with a rose gold-plated #6 18kt gold nib, which is hand engraved and made in Nettuno’s factory. The pen fills via standard international cartridge/converter (which can also be accessed from the back like a piston).
The God of the Sea is a numbered, limited edition collection out of 888.
Nettuno was originally founded in 1911 and was recently revived in 2018. The pens are now handmade in Naples, Italy by the Maiora Pen Company, which is led by Nino Marino, the former founder of the Delta Pen Company.
