Pilot Plumix Fountain Pen - Light Blue, 1.0mm Stub is rated 4.2368 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very funny pen The Plumix is a nice pen. The medium nib is not round, but italic, which "does" something for your handwriting and makes the pen suited for simple calligraphy. Whereas some italics can be sharp, this nib is surprisingly smooth. I like the overall design of the pen. It looks a bit odd, but it is very ergonomic and pleasant to use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nib Harvesting a Plus I'd bought a Pilot Metropolitan and saw on the GPC product review someone mentioned that the Plumix nib was interchangeable. Having never used a stub before, I wanted to give it a try - For me, it was worth the $9 to make the Metropolitan a stub and still end up with a whole other working "beater" fountain pen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from space age quill pen The style and ergonomics are flawless. The nib is very nice and I find the italic to somehow force better handwriting. For a home pen, it's perfect. On the move, one is maddened by the lack of a pocket clip. This causes it to flop and fall all over...which would be tolerable for a tough cheap pen except for the leak issue. The clear cap reveals every droplet, although it will soon find fingers. The cap is quite postable, and this is another area that requires frequent wiping. This is especially perturbing as the Plumix is not a very wet writer. The cheaper Pilot Varsity is wetter, but I've never seen one leak at all. Side by side drop tests confirmed that the Varsity holds it's ink and always starts writing easily, while the Plumix leaks but still takes a few strokes to get flowing. I can't really comment on the stock ink cartridge, as I barely used it. The C-50 converter has a small capacity, but lasts a while due to the drier line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from medium nib I have just received this pen in the mail yesterday- I am just starting my collection and experimentation with fountain pens. Using the cartridge that was included, I find the nib size as well as pen style very conducive to my everyday handwriting (I am left handed and I rest my pen on my ring finger- my kindergarten teacher could not fix me!! lol) My only complaint with this pen is how if looks like a magic wand! I am a bigger fan of the sleek designs like the Lamy Safari. Thank you again Goulet Pens for the excellent service!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Pen Practical, simple, nice calligraphic (italic) nib (writting). This one uses Pilot cartridged (or converter i think - not tried), I have an old one using international cartridges, I thought they were all the same. Nib is interchageable with the metropolitain, so If you prefer plumix nib, and more professional looks of the metropolitain, you can switch the nibs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great pen for the money I have one in blue that I bought locally. I must say I was more then pleased with this pen. I normally write with a stub or italic and the smoothness of this $9 pen. I do not experience the leaking that others have reported that may be due to the fact that I do not travel with it, If there is a drawback it is that the converter is proprietary and I do not have any Pilot converters. It is fun to play with every once in a while.
