Pilot Iroshizuku Chiku-rin - Bamboo Forest (50ml Bottled Ink) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Chiku-rin - Bamboo Forest This and a few other inks have more clearly illustrated to me the variance in swabs, monitors, and actual ink performance. This isn't a complaint but just the retelling of an experience. This ink and a few others I've found to be consistently darker than the swabs. I do see a positive side, I'm free to water them down, have more ink in the long run, exercise my own creativity more, and make the tools of my craft a bit more my own in the process. Still beautiful color and impeccable performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At first... ...I didn't know what to think. In fact, I was regretting that I purchased this color because I thought it was kind of wimpy (for lack of a better description). The next morning, though, I had a totally different opinion (maybe the light was different). It wasn?t ?wimpy,? but subtle, very restful, and earthy in a special way. The more I use it the better I like it. And like all Iroshizuku inks, the quality is suburb, lays down wonderfully smooth and dries fast. Worth every dollar; a treasure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised Interestingly, I wasn't sold on this color when I placed the order. I typically like darker colors, so I was skeptical going in. But I love the iroshizuku line (this is my 7th color of the line-up, so I thought I'd go for a brighter green for the spring. First, it performs beautifully like the rest of the line-up. It's wet, always flows smoothly, and doesn't dry out (I have it in a Lamy Studio with a steel 1.1 stub). I have used it on two notebook, a Midori stitched A5, which is less absorbent of the ink and a leuchtturm A5, which absorbs more of the ink. On the Midori, it almost appears neonish, just not that obnoxious. But on the Leuch, it darkens up a bit to where it is less aggressive to the eye. It actually shades better than I expected, which makes it nice. I very much enjoy this ink and would recommend it to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Beautiful This ink is beautiful, the color is soft and understated, in a wide nib it shades very delicately but enough to give character to the letters. It is impeccably behaved in my old Lamy 99 with an OB nib, flows beautifully, does not feather or bleed and dries quickly. Great every day ink that makes everything I write seem special. A favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT green ink! I love this ink. Its not my favorite Iroshizuku which is currently Kon-Peki, but I'd rate Kon-Peki as 10 on a scale of 1-5 ;) So this is still a 5 star ink to me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice grassy green Pilot iroshizuku inks are quickly becoming some of my favorites. They are consistent, well saturated, and above all just reliable performers. The color on this is very nice. Maybe a touch darker than the swab appears but that isn't such a bad thing because it opens up new opportunities to use this ink. I believe this would be a semi-appropriate work ink. What I mean by that is it's not at all offensive to the eye. If it were lighter yellow it may get some funny looks but it really is just a nice green. So if you want to give your work a little extra but not slam sombodies cornia with lime green it may be a good choice. Performance is standard iroshizuku. Nice flowing, quick drying, and generally well behaved. I did notice it ever so slightly gave a little more feedback than other iroshizuku inks I've tried, but was so minimal was hardly worth mentioning. No nib creep, no drying on the nib, and was easy to clean. It's a solid performer. In conclusion, I like the ink. It has a lot of ups and very few downs. Coupled with the nice color and solid performance Pilot does it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grassy Green As always this brand of ink is top quality and the price here at Goulet Pen is the best I have found. The color is akin to grass in early spring. More of a light shade of green with a hint of yellow to my eye. I like this color a lot but if you want more of a medium to dark green then this is not the ink for you. On the other hand it is very unique and looks great on a tan or off-white paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous Spring Green As it says in the name, this truly is the colour of new spring leaves and shoots. Beautiful ink, dark enough for everday note-taking, but light enough to be different. Typical Iroshizuku properties - fast dry time, good flow (a little drier than some, but still great) and very nice, smooth shading. A sample was not enough for me, and I'm glad to have the bottle - one of my regulars.
