Pelikan Edelstein Aquamarine - Ink of the Year 2016 (50ml Bottled Ink) is rated 4.5556 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty ink! I placed an order for this ink as I love turquoise inks. It is definitely a darker shade of turquoise, so keep that in mind when ordering. As for as its performance, it is wonderful. Great flow, shading, color, etc. This is one of my favorites now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! First off, I tend to go with darker inks. But I recently acquired a wonderful Pelikan M805 so I wanted to honor it with some Pelikan-branded ink. Naturally, something called "Ink of the Year" grabbed my attention, and I'm glad it did. On my Tomoe River paper this ink is a beautiful emerald color; not overly saturated, but not dull by any means. It's subdued just enough to be a hue that I'd like to write with on a regular basis. Just enough shading and character.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color Are both the ink about a month ago and I've been using it every day. It's a beautiful color and it flows very well in my fountain pens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shading and color! I have had my eye on the Pelikan Edelstein Aquamarine Ink of the Year (2016) for quite some time now but it has sadly been unavailable up until the release of the matching pen, which I also got. Teal/Turquoise/Aquamarine/Blue-Green is my favorite color and I have other inks that are similar to this but I really wanted to give this a try. Upon inking up my matching Pelikan Aquamarine pen (with a Broad nib), I was immediately amazed at the shading quality of this ink. I was expecting a darker turquoise ink but this is closer to a medium teal. When there is less ink on the page, it appears to be a true aquamarine, so the gradation in color is vast and you can have a lot of fun in writing with different pressures to achieve varying effects with this ink. While I chose to use the matching pen, I think using a flex pen or a stub nib would allow for this ink to reach its full potential. Also I am usually a fan of writing on ivory paper but this ink will look its best (and show its true colors) on white paper. It is a wet ink that in my experience, dries quite fast but does not feather on better quality fountain-pen friendly paper. Go and grab yourself a bottle of Pelikan Edelstein Aquamarine and you will see why it has been named "Ink of the Year". 5 out of 5 stars

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Ink This is very much a preference thing, but the ink is not vibrant as I might have expected. I inked it up in my Lamy LX Fine and it was not laying down as much ink as I thought, so I switched nibs (cool thing about Lamys) and put on a medium, more ink, but not as vibrate as say a Diamine Marine. I do own the Topaz, which I do like. I hope this helps.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ink color is less vivid than pictured The Aquamarine ink is less vivid than is shown in the picture that accompanies the ink on the web page. A more vivid version of this could be had by mixing the Pelikan Edelstein Jade and Topaz inks together, instead. As for recommending the ink, it is a matter of color intensity preference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely adore this color! When I first got into writing with fountain pens in junior high, I used Sheaffer's Scrip in turquoise. This reminds me of that color. It flows beautifully and shades well. A bit expensive, but for the nostalgia factor alone, well worth the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Color! This aquamarine shade is fantastic. It is a little more on the green side and the shading is awesome. I have tried it on a flex and non-flex nib and both have had amazing shading.
