International Shipping FAQ

ALERT: Due to COVID-19, almost all international supply chains are experiencing delays. Please allow for additional delivery times on all international orders.

 

When should I order for holiday shipping?

We’re anticipating a crazy holiday season again this year. Because of stock limitations, continued worldwide shipping delays, labor shortages, and the busyness of the holiday season, we encourage you to get your holiday shopping done early.

Please place your holiday orders as soon as possible. Given that shipping may take up to 60 days to arrive, we cannot guarantee delivery in time for the holidays for any international shipping method at this time. Your best bet is to order as early as possible.

Please note our office will be closed on Friday, December 24th through Monday, December 27th. We'll resume shipping and answering emails on December 28th. Thank you for your patience!

Do you ship to my country?

We welcome orders in almost all countries, as long as our current shipping carriers offer service there. Currently, we are not shipping to the following countries:

Afghanistan, Åland Islands, Belarus, Bouvet Island, Brazil, British Indian Ocean Territory, Caribbean Netherlands, Christmas Island, Congo - Brazzaville, Congo - Kinshasa, Cook Islands, Cuba, Curaçao, Czechia, Eritrea, Falkland Islands, French Southern Territories, Guinea-Bissau, Heard & McDonald Islands, Iran, Isle of Man, Laos, Lesotho, Mayotte, Myanmar (Burma), Nauru, Niue, Norfolk Island, North Korea, Palestinian Territories, Pitcairn Islands, Russia, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, South Georgia & South Sandwich Islands, South Sudan, St. Barthélemy, St. Helena, St. Pierre & Miquelon, Sudan, Svalbard & Jan Mayen, Syria, Tokelau, Tuvalu, U.S. Outlying Islands, Ukraine, Vatican City, Vietnam, Western Sahara.

We also are not shipping to Quebec (Canada), or to Puerto Rico (US territory).

We also cannot ship a FedEx order to a PO Box address.

Please note that we now have a minimum order threshold of $200 (in product cost, after discounts and before shipping) for all orders to the United Kingdom. Due to new regulations in 2021 regarding VAT on low value goods, we are unable at this time to comply and thus can only ship orders above the threshold. We apologize for the inconvenience.

How much is my shipping?

Simply add the items you want into your cart, and you'll be given shipping options and prices at checkout. All of our shipping rates are a flat price, and will depend on your country. Note: these rates do not include customs fees and/or taxes required by the importing country. Not all shipping methods are available in all countries.

Standard: $13-$31 flat rate depending on your location. Available for orders under $300 and weighing less than 4 pounds. Limited tracking is available. While the most economical, it can take anywhere from 1-8 weeks for delivery. Handled most of the time by APC within the US and completed by local carriers.

USPS Priority International Mail: $40-$45 flat rate. May have limited tracking.

USPS Express International Mail: $50 flat rate. Our fastest USPS option, available for Latin America only. Full tracking is included.

FedEx International Priority: $36-$48 flat rate depending on your location. Our most expedited shipping option. Full tracking is included. Not available for Latin America.

FedEx International Economy: $28-$42 flat rate depending on your location. Also an expedited shipping option, though not as fast as International Priority. Full tracking is included. Not available for Latin America.

Note: If you choose a FedEx Option, they will take care of clearing your order through customs in order to reduce transit times. At time of delivery you will be presented a bill from them to pay these fees. See:

When will my order ship?

If you select FedEx and place your order by 10am Eastern Time (Monday-Friday), we'll ship it that same business day.

For Standard shipments, we aim to have your order shipped out within 2-3 business days.

We ship five days a week, Monday through Friday. Sometimes our mail pickup comes in early afternoon, so tracking for orders shipped later that day may not update until the following business day.

You will receive a shipment confirmation with tracking information via email when your order has shipped. You can also sign in and click the My Account link at the top of our site to track the status of your order.

When will my order arrive?

Due to worldwide COVID-19 impacts, shipping may be delayed further from these estimates below.

*These estimates begin once the order has been shipped from our warehouse, typically 2-3 business days after the order has been placed. FedEx orders are shipped same business day if we receive your order by 10am Eastern Time.

FedEx International Priority: Usually arrives in 2-7 days. Full tracking.

FedEx International Economy: Usually arrives in 4-10 days. Full tracking.

Standard: Usually arrives within 60 days, with limited to no tracking.

USPS Priority International Mail: Usually arrives within 1-3 weeks. Limited tracking.

USPS Express International Mail: Usually arrives within 1 week depending on customs clearance. Full tracking. Latin America only.

Do you offer currency conversion?

Not at this time. All prices are displayed in US dollars. It is up to you to calculate the exchange rate if you are paying with a different currency.

Do I have to pay duties/customs?

Laws vary by country, so it depends on your country's regulations. You are responsible for paying any assessed customs fees upon receipt. We are not responsible for any customs fees charged.

Whoever receives the package is responsible for paying any applicable duties or taxes on the received products, even if it is being shipped as a gift! We cannot mark packages as gifts, and we will not falsify the total value of the package to skirt customs fees. That is against our company value to "Be Honest." All contents will be stated on the outside of the package as part of the customs form.

If you fail to pay the duties for your parcel and it is returned to us, you will have the option for us to re-ship your package to you (and you will pay for shipping again), or we can cancel your order and refund you for the products less the original shipping amount paid. We will reach out to you if your package is returned to us.

For Australian residents, we do collect 10% Australian GST for merchandise and shipping charges ordered on this website, which in general should not be charged at the point of customs. If in the event you are also charged at customs, please email us at info@gouletpens.com and we'll refund the portion we collected.

For New Zealand residents, we do collect 15% New Zealand GST for merchandise and shipping charges ordered on this website, which in general should not be charged at the point of customs. If in the event you are also charged at customs, please email us at info@gouletpens.com and we'll refund the portion we collected.

Oops! I gave you an incorrect shipping address!

Please email us at info@gouletpens.com immediately if you realize that you gave us the wrong shipping address — if it hasn't shipped yet, we might be able to correct it before it goes out the door.

If your package has already shipped to the address provided at check out and ends up being returned to us, then you are responsible for paying the cost of shipping again to resend it to you. If you decide to cancel your order, we'll refund you for the products minus the original shipping charges. We'll reach out to you to coordinate your options before reshipping.

If your order ships to an incorrect address provided at check out and is not retrievable, unfortunately we are not responsible and cannot offer reimbursement.

Help, I think my package got lost!

While most international packages show up within a week or two, we have seen some take as long as 60 days to arrive if they get stuck in customs.

First, check with your country's local customs office. In many countries, you can give them your tracking/package number and they can tell you if it's in their system or not. If not, please let us know and we'll do our best to track it down. However, if you elected the Standard option, unfortunately there is limited tracking that can be done. The carrier may not be able to tell us where your package is. This is part of the tradeoff of the economical price.

If it’s been several weeks and your package still hasn't showed up, we ask that you be patient and wait at least sixty days to see if it arrives (and again, check with your customs office). We can’t process a claim with our shipping insurance for sixty days, so until then, there isn't much that we can do.
