Leuchtturm1917 Medium A5 Notebook - Berry, Dot Grid (5.71 x 8.27) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect I'll start with what I love about this journal. The color is great. It's durable. The dot grid is everything I hoped it would be for bullet journaling, and the index and page numbers are a plus. I also love that there are two ribbon markers along with the elastic band AND a pocket to hold things in the back. Hurrah for my odds and ends not falling out of my journal every time I move it! What I don't like? The paper... kind of. I do love the smoothness of the paper. I use fine to (mostly) medium nib fountain pens in my journal and several different inks. I love how my fountain pen inks shade on it. However, I'm getting a LOT of ghosting and some bleed-through. I'm posting some pics. In the first one, you can see some bleed-through and ghosting from the previous page. You can also see the page facing the previous page. The paper is thin and and a bit transparent, as you can see. I wouldn't say I'm unhappy with my purchase, but I might try a Rhodia next time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enjoying everything about this except for the paper. Love the numbering, love the dots and the colors (i got lemon, berry and emerald). However the paper is transparent. I can see my gel pens from the other side, and my copic markers bled right through. Boo. I will continue to use them, but am curious if the blank/grid sheets are thicker than the dotted. Note: copic multiliners and le pens did not bleed through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really excited to use this journal I haven't started using this journal yet, only because I was traveling and just received it. One of the biggest reasons I purchased it was that it is recommended by so many bullet journal keepers, who just like me, appreciate the faint grid pattern that helps with drawing lines and boxes but isn't obtrusive if you want to use pages for sketching. I like the size, the pocket in the back, the page marker, and the elastic to hold the journal shut, and I also love the berry color--cheery and easy to find in my bag. The table of contents is a feature I haven't had yet in other notebooks, and before I start writing in my book, I'm making a few notes, so it can be optimally organized. Finally, even though it's a hardback book, it is string bound and lies relatively flat when open, another nice feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Perfect! I received this notebook several weeks ago. Now that I've had time to settle in and really dive into using it, I am extremely pleased with it! I adore the bright color. I feel like the size and spacing of the dots on the page is perfect. It's very easy to write in. The paper accepts ink wonderfully without smearing. It's the perfect size to slide into my purse and take everywhere. I've recently taken up bullet journaling and this particular notebook is perfect for that because it has already numbered pages and an index. The two page marking ribbons are great because I can keep track of the current date and another item that I'm using frequently. Absolutely love it! The price was fair. The shipping was fast. The packaging was immaculate! It was definitely wrapped to ensure that it would arrive in the best possible shape. Very happy and will definitely shop here again and again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best notebooks I've ever used This is the pretty much the idea notebook for me: Perfect size, has the band, perfect material cover, has two bookmarks instead of one, dotted pages, plus an index. What more could you want?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely not my last! This is my first Leuchttrum1917... I expect I will have a full wardrobe by this time next year. The paper is really nice to write on, the size is perfect, 2 ribbon markers are unexpectedly handy, numbered pages and an index are great, I really like the dot paper, and I love the color. I even loved the way it was packaged (handwritten note... lollipop... made me think I need to look at inks someday... )

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functional layout Purchased the A5 to record information about the different papers, pencils pens, and inks (etc.) I have for art, along with art notes. Having the 'content page' I can quickly fine the specific info I need. There are samples of the ink colors and their dry times. To make the interior more attractive I drew nibs, marker, pens, pencils and ink bottles. The paper held up nicely to dry and wet media.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Journal! I have been using the Leuchtturm 1917 Journal for about a month. It is the perfect size, and I love the dot grid. I did have to experiment with a couple of pens so the ink did not bleed through the next page, but it was not a problem. If this journal helps to keep me organized, then it is well worth the extra money!
