Lamy Safari Fountain Pen - Red, Fine is rated 4.9091 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for the money This pen is a very nice writer for the relatively inexpensive price. I ordered a 1.1 mm italic and it writes smoothly and has good line width variation. The plastic case feels light and sturdy enough, which makes it a good everyday or knockabout pen. The grip may turn some users off. I have fairly smally hands and my grip (thumb and first finger on the triangle, middle finger under the pen, feels fairly comfortable. However, if you have larger hands or grip your pen differently, you might find this grip unpleasant to use. That being said, I enjoy my Lamy and I'm sure it will last for quite a while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Value I own and use a Lamy Al-Star as my daily writer. The Safari is, as far as I can tell, the same pen, just with a plastic barrel. Same quality construction, same nib, fits the same converter. The plastic does not feel cheap, as I was afraid it might. My only complaint is that you have to remember to order the converter separately. Of course you want to do that so you can be totally landfill free and explore all those wonderful inks out there. . . .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from smooth & reliable Like all my previous Lamy Safaris from Goulet Pen Co. This pen writes smoothly and reliably on many sorts of paper with different inks. The others have been perfect from start. This order I did give them (I bought more than one) a flush to use some lighter inks. I love the different colours - when I edit/annotate documents I can group by ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pen! A few months after my husband got his matte grey Safari, he asked me for another one, so he could write corrections in red. So I got him a red one! This is an excellent pen, not very expensive, very rugged, and the converter holds a decent amount of ink. It rarely skips, and the nib is pretty durable too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Love this pen! It wrote well right out of the box, is easy to fill and, being bright red, is hard to misplace. The tripod grip suits the way I hold a pen and, once I changed the nib to a fine (the extra-fine was too narrow a line for my tastes), it has become a favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun pen to kitbash. I bought this pen to go along side my Lamy Joy. The black and red cap and black section of the Joy were matched with the red body and black EF nib from my Safari. Red and silver cap with red section of the Safari matched with the long black body and silver 1.1 italic nib of the Joy. Both pens screw together securely, and the caps post on both (even the Safari cap on the Joy's narrow end).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great first pen I got this pen a few weeks ago for note taking and class work. I have used it for probably 4 hours every day. I haven't had any issues with it yet. Just make sure to wash it out before use to clean out any oil and gunk left over from when it was made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! As a beginner in terms of caligraphy and fountain pens, this pen couldn't be better. The ink is quality and works great, while the service is unparalleled. I'll come back to Goulet over and over again for anything I need pen-wise.
