Kaweco Classic Sport Fountain Pen - Clear is rated 3.875 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to carry, great for everyday writing. I've been using this pen a lot in the week since I got it, and I really like it. I find it comfortable to hold and pleasant to write with. The nib is smooth, but it does give some feedback. I like it, but some folks might not. I tried using it as an eyedropper (just with silicone grease, no o-ring) and I found that ink leaked into the section (see pictures). Only an aesthetic concern, but worth noting. I've since switched to using one of the small Kaweco converters, and it works fine. Not a lot of ink capacity, but plenty for day to day use. The pen definitely feels very plasticy (it is a plastic pen, after all), but I didn't think it felt cheap. I've had no problems with ink leaking when I carry the pen in a pocket or backpack.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh I have to agree with one of the other reviewers: the plastic of which the pen is made feels strikingly cheap, like the barrel of an old white Bic. So far I haven't succeeded in getting the nib adjusted to the point that it will start up immediately, without a few dry centimeters, and still produce a controlled line. I'll also say that this iteration of this pen is no good for eye-dropper conversion; the ink gets into the place where the feed is inserted. I have no real complaint there, since the pen was not made with the conversion in mind, but the conversion was an experiment I won't try repeating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Pleased With Kaweco The pen is very compact and seems rugged enough to survive bouncing around in pockets. I also purchased the optional clip which holds it quite securely in a shirt pocket. The cap posts firmly and the posted pen is comfortable in hand for extended writing. The posted pen though light (which I happen to like), is well balanced and does not seem too short. So far the pen is very well behaved after conversion to eyedropper. The nib was quite smooth but a little dry for my taste, but after a small adjustment of the tines I am very pleased with how this pen writes. I bought this pen strictly out of curiosity, but I often carry it in addition to another fountain pen in my shirt pocket. I don't worry about throwing it into a briefcase or a pocket, or clipping it to a notebook, and I don't hesitate to hand it to someone to try.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Portable Little Pen I've edited my review, reflecting the fact that Goulet Pens swapped my problem pen for a new one (outstanding customer service!). Wow, what a huge difference! Apparently, my previous nib (or feed? or both?) had an issue. The problem was that massive amounts of ink would pool between the nib and feed, and inevitably splotch out on my paper (and elsewhere). My new one doesn't have that problem at all (even used as an eyedropper). For the price, the nib is very pleasant. It required no adjustment out of the box. The fine is definitely a western fine. I find the body of the pen to be quite durable, and I even have taken to carrying it in my pant pocket everyday with no adverse effects. In that sense it serves a purpose for me that my other pens can't nearly as effectively. A great little pen; glad I bought it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Pen My first Kaweco. The nib on mine writes beautifully and the ink flow is perfect- seems to do well on cheap paper as well as Rhodia. Length is marginal unless posted. Optional clip is very tight on even thin shirt pockets. Mine liked both the inks I have tried so far. A great bargain for a very good writer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from okay pen For the most part, I like it. The body of the pen is light and comfortable to hold. The plastic feels a *little* cheap, but it's not too bad. The only real issue I have is the nib. It's a pretty smooth nib, but I bought a fine, and the line width is really thick. It writes more like a fat medium or a narrow broad. If I had known how thick the line was going to be, I would have spent the extra couple bucks on an EF, or maybe bought a different pen. Other than the line thickness, I do like it, but being so thick, it really limits how much I'm going to be using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great pen!!! I emptied the cartridge and filled it with kon peki. Great writing pen!! Capped its very small and portable, but when you post it, it is a good size even for my big hands. :-) Got a chrome clip for mine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No more appealing in person I just can't get behind this pen. It feels cheap to hold, is awkwardly sized, and the design is nothing to brag about. In addition, the nib took a good deal of work to make serviceable; my initial experience was very scratchy and dry. There are much better pens out there in this price range.
