Jinhao X750 Fountain Pen - Silver, Medium is rated 4.1579 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A premium pen with less reliability. For the price, the pen looks very expensive and generally is very great to write with! The converter is nice and holds ink that will last for quite some time. The pen writes very smoothly when it does, but here is where my problem comes in. After about a day or maybe two moderate usage; when the pen is still fairly full. It begins to lose it's flow. You have to shake it up quite a bit for the ink to start again. This is pretty annoying, and when lending it to a co-worker and having them ask you why it's not working is a bit of an embarrassment and annoyance. Overall, it's a very good looking pen for the price, but it's reliability is questionable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Update After using this pen a bit more, I stand by my comment about the excellent nib. However, I'm finding that the feed delivers variable and often excessive amounts of ink Your paragraph may start out looking good, and end up looking like you were writing with a blunt felt tip pen... Also, the converter broke today. Wasn't expecting it to last. Anyway, I'm a bit disappointed that the feed behaves this way because otherwise this is an excellent pen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I couldn't be happier! My job requires me to write what seems like miles a day. I no longer have to put down my pen and massage my fingers out of painful, contorting cramps. This pen practically writes for me, because when posted, it's top-heavy, thus reducing the amount of pressure I have to apply with my fingers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just as good as most reviewes have stated Anything I say here would be singing to the choir so I will speak to the tweaks I made. Matt at Pen Habit had mentioned he swapped the Jinhao nib with a Goulet #6 and preferred the result. I ordered the broad nib and installed it. Piece of cake by the way. Wow! The writing experience is so nice, Smooth and juicy. The feed, as some have said can deliver ink. I wouldn't use it for business but for journals, correspondence and checks it is a pleasure to write with. The Goulet nib (broad) transforms the pen from quite a bit of feedback to quite smooth (bare in mind it's a broad nib and there is plenty of ink flowing) overall. Even a medium would do nicely.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from nib dries quickly I am a newbie so take this for what it is worth. I received the pen and filled it with Noodlers black. It took me a few times to get it to draw but like I said I am pretty inexperienced. Once filled the pen glided across the paper quite nicely and really I was amazed at the ease of writing and the way the ink flowed so smoothly. After a few days of sitting and not being used it was like it had dried up. I had to really make an effort of scratching the paper with the nib to get it to flow again. I am new to fountain pens and will say that this pen wrote great for the first few days and then I started having trouble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEAUTIFUL PEN THIS PEN IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE PRICE WOULD INDICATE. IT IS BUILT LIKE A TANK AND THE MEDIUM NIB IS A SMOOTH WRITER. IT PERFORMS AT A HIGHER LEVEL THAN MANY BRAND NAMES THAT I HAVE USED IN THE PAST.I UPGRADED TO A STANDARD INTERNATIONAL CONVERTER SINCE IT HOLDS MORE INK TO EXTEND WRITING TIME. MY HANDWRITING WORKS BETTER WITH A FINE POINT SO I ADDED ONE OF THE GOULET NIBS WHICH ARE SMOOTHER THAN GLASS AND MADE THE COMMON JINHAO INTO A GOULET CUSTOM JINHAO! BUY THIS PEN!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from smooth writer, very nice pen Think I lucked out with the nib that came with the pen. I ordered a Goulet 1.1mm stub italic with this pen, but I may not end up needing it. This thing writes like a much more expensive pen. As other writers said, the converter is not stellar, but that can be upgraded easily. I like the feel of this pen - substantial. I think the best strategy with these cheap pens is to get one, try it, and replace the nib with an after-market one if you aren't happy or can't make it smooth. I got lucky. Very happy with this pen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent value This is a cheap pen that doesn't feel like a cheap pen. It does have some trouble getting started, and is prone to skipping if it's been sitting around unused for more than a couple hours. But once you're a few minutes in it's pretty smooth. Ink and paper choice may impact this, as well. This pen will post securely if that's how you like to write. This is a solid, hefty pen, and posting will impact the balance. The grip is just the right size for my fingers and is concave - the curvature fits my thumb and forefinger perfectly. Very comfortable to hold. All in all ?ÿI'm truly impressed with how well this pen performs given its low price. There are better pens out there (hence 4 stars, not 5), but none that I've found at this price point.
