Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ink with solid color The color of this ink reminds me for sure the document of my father was signing while he was in the Navy. That's the reason because I bought this ink and it's the best blue that I ever used. So color for me is a five star satisfaction. I use to write and to sketch with dip pens and with fountain pens. With fountain pens great flow, no problems. THe same with dip pen. What leave me something less impressed is the feathering. It is more liquid the the BulletProof Black so it can feather a lot and you have to match the right paper, because I think not all the papers are worth this incredible color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A favorite I wasn't sure I'd like this ink at first as I have had pretty mixed luck with many other darker blues generally being too muted and uninteresting. I was let down by Tsuki-yo and several other inks I thought I'd like, so I figured Navy was going to end up the same way. Noodler's Navy is almost the exact ink I was hoping Tsuki-yo would be. I am happy with a tinge of green, even if it makes the naming questionable...but what struck me was that the ink possessed so much more saturation with equally punchy shading, and flowed generally very well. This stuff is a keeper if you find a lot of blue-blacks to be a bit muted.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice color I like the color, which is very dark blue with a bit of green (sea green? ;-) ). Not as nice as 54Mass or Air Corps. Bled through badly on cheaper paper and stayed up & wet on good paper with messy long dry times (30 minutes on Rhodia!). Part of that is pen, Konrad puts a lot of in on a fine wet line. In my Retro51M it was a lot of ink but flatter for a quicker dry time. Good water resistance-the color smears out, but the underlying black is unmoved. Definately a pretty shade, but overall not for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Noodler's Navy This is my favorite ink. I use other inks, but I always come back to this color, as it is such a rich color with hints of grey, blue, green, and black. It is a serious color, so I can use it for signatures. On off-white colors (like a yellow legal pad or ivory paper), it is a gorgeous texture of color that has both gravitas and beauty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous color--decided within 30 seconds to get a bottle. I've been looking for the perfect bluish-black for months that wasn't based on a standard Crayola blue--and I think I've just found it. Another reviewer described it as a "dark turquoise" and I agree--while extending it to be "dark turquoise or teallish." Apart from being a gorgeous color, there's also some nice shading and it flows very well. Despite the fact that there's minimal water resistance, when Goulet Pens restocks the bottles, I'm definitely going to order one of them. A very beautiful shade that to me, strikes a perfect balance between boldness and darkness.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty intense stuff I really, really love this color. Almost like a rich dark turquoise. And it's got some nice shading for such a rich ink. Unfortunately I got a good bit on my hands and found it incredibly difficult to get off-- so I was amazed that it is not water resistant on paper. I do like the color though, so I will probably keep some loaded in a preppy for writing. But not a drawing ink for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful color This color is absolutely stunning-- it can go from a deep blue/teal to nearly black, and shades beautifully with a flex nib. Not that it claims to be otherwise, but the ink does tend to feather when wet and shouldn't be used on regular paper. I tend to like my inks to be versatile, but this color is totally worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely ink I bought because it reminds my father' old documents while he was on the Navy. And about the color I've to say it's a fantastic hue. It flows very well, it stays on the wet side, with my Lamys pen and even wetter with a pen nib. Thanks for Goulet for the excellent oversea service.
