INK SAMPLE - De Atramentis Edgar Allan Poe is rated 4.0909 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Know Poe. He'd be Pleased. Naming an ink after E.A. Poe that doesn't invoke a raven seems counter intuitive. I went to school with him (well, kind of - he's buried on the grounds of my alma mater). This is a dark, saturated green that fits well with the atmosphere of his work and his environs. The shading echoes the nuance of his writing. In short, I like this ink. I'm still auditioning greens, but this one is going to be hard to beat for this Baltimore guy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Green I got a sample of DA Edgar Allan Poe as part of an ink drop subscription. I absolutely love the color of this ink. To me it shades from what I consider a willow green to a darker forest green. Like most DA inks I have tried this does feather on cheaper paper, but I use it in my work planners and personal journal which have better paper so it is not quite as bad an issue. This is an ink I plan to add to my collection at some point!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great darker Green I bought a sample of Edgar Allan Poe green and inked my old Parker 45 with it…I was pleasantly surprised at it being darker than I thought it would be. Great for work. It does feather a wee bit (extremely wee bit) on regular copy paper, but is a dream on better quality paper.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from De Artamentis Edgar Allan Poe Dark enough to use every day. Green/teal enough to be interesting. I thought this was a well behaved ink with no feathering and minimal bleed through on the paper I used. An Ink I would purchase when I have some spare cash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shading!! This ink is fantastic. It shades from an emerald green to a dark forest green. Nice flow with average dry time and low water resistance. Definitely an ink I would suggest to anyone looking for a unique green!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lovely color, bad performance Maybe I got a bad sample, but this ink gave me so many starting and blobbing problems. It is the only ink that has given me such headaches! But the green is a very lovely forest green.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Edgar Allan Poe I have found my shade of green. I have an eight vial sample of greens, but this green is the one for me. Great shade, not too bright and Easter Egg looking, and not too dark. Perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bright, vivid green This is an extremely wet, vibrant green ink. It came out a few shades lighter than the swatch would suggest, but overall I'm happy with it.
