INK SAMPLE - Noodler's Tiananmen is rated 4.6061 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice red. Another red with more of a purple-ish tone. The colour is very nice, but the ink is very picky when it comes to choice of paper. It tends to bleed a lot on most of the paper I usually work on but when you find a paper it works on it's just beautiful. The paper in Canson XL-pads seems to be perfect for this ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Intense Red With a Blue Note A gorgeous deep and fairly intense red with a desirable amount of shading. The color is slightly on the blue side. On Clairefontaine paper, my preferred paper for fountain pen writing, this ink shows no tendency to either spreading or feathering. A great red especially for wet and/or broad nibs. I'm sure that I will enjoy casual writing with this ink. The color may even be deep enough for more formal occasions as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do you like red inks? (2) Tiananmen, from Noodler's is a great Ink. Very nice flow and as other Noodler's inks, not very fast dryer, but acceptable. I chose to try this ink and two other colors on the "warm" side of the spectrum that could fall into the red/maroon/brown category. Tiananmen is a really special ink color, with a dark red tone that makes you see in there also maroon and a touch of violet. A dark, opaque clayish tone. Beautiful ink.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great "writing" red This is a shade of red that is deep enough to use in general correspondence, but, in a pinch those of us in academics can use it as a 'grading' ink too. Like many Nooder's inks it does not dry quite as quickly as I would like so one has to be careful about smearing, but it does well on most good papers (Clairefontaine or Rhodia). Though not one of the bulletproof inks, it resists water water fairly well. I would encourage anyone wishing to break out of blues and blacks to consider skipping over the browns and giving Tiananmen Red a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color I tend to more of the subtle in colors, but like shading as well. I find that this one shades nicely and works well with my Noodler's Konrad (of nearly the same colore).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magnificent Just the shade of red I was looking for, dark in the pen, not garish like some can be. Blood red on the page, paling to a flesh pink when watered. Really beautiful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous ink! I love this color! Such a rich, dark red! It has kind of a dried-blood look to it when dry, but a bit more vibrant than that. Beautiful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good I like it. Austere. From my pens, looks a little bit more red, less purple than the pictured swab.
