Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Green That Just Looks Good on Paper Diamine Sherwood Green looks good on white paper but it looks great on the off white pages of a Rhodia Web Book. Green is supposed to be the color that the human eye is most sensitive to and while it may not be the first choice for business letters it is my first choice for journaling and note taking if the writing doesn't have to be waterproof or forgery resistant. Diamine Sherwood Green flows well and leaves a good line of color that fluctuates between green and almost black when you slow your stroke or finish a character. This slight color variation is subtle and lines of writing leave the appearance of depth. I prefer looking at an entire page of hand written notes when they are written with Diamine Sherwood Green rather than a black ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diamine Sherwood Green Although inks differ with pens, to me this often seem to be one of the darkest of greens that retains a bright green colour without risking being mistaken for black, It seems to fall between Private Reserve Ebony Green and Diamine Evergreen, although with some pens I would choose Evergreen. I wish that in were permanent, although on the good side it does maintain a narrow line and does not spread out so far as to make a fine tip write like a medium as so many of the Noodler's permanent inks do. After getting seven or eight of the darker green inks I would consider suitable for lengthy writing, I think this is slight/y ahead of the evergreen, with one of the two definitely being my favourite so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Luxury en verde I truly am in love with this green. My first impression when I bought it was as an afterthought, as I was buying a rainbow of color samples. However, it quickly grew on me and nestled firmly inside my Jinhao 450- it writes smoothly, like butter, and has a small amount of shading. It is a very nostalgic green for me, as it reads "forest" to me more than any other green hue so far. I adore it. The ink flow is perfect and has no problem starting up, even on a broad variety of paper and from all positions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice color It is very difficult to provide an objective review of a particular ink, since in most cases the behavior of the ink is dependent on the nib width, ink flow, and other characteristics of the pen in which it is used. The ability to purchase ink samples from Gouletpens is amazingly helpful in finding the right ink for the right pen. That being said, I have found that this green works very well in a very fine nib with a medium flow. It is dark enough to be able to use in almost any setting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True deep green This is a lovely deep green that is also serious enough for most uses. It has enough color to be interesting while managing to still look rather elegant and professional. This seems to be a true deep green to me--no blues, not olive or grassy, and darker than emerald. Imo, this would make a beautiful Christmas card ink for those who desire something a little more formal than the brighter Christmas greens. Sherwood Green is to green what Red Dragon is to red--beautiful, deep, and true to color tone. This may be my next bottle of ink purchase. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best ink ever I have used this ink every day since I received it. Reasonably water resistant and gorgeous, but understated color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful color This ink is a rich, deep green, it flows smoothly, dries quickly and is dark enough for legal documents and faxes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oxblood and Sherwood I love the look of the bottles, but what I love more is the ink. With both of these inks, the oxblood and sherwood, I've seen consistent drying times under 10 seconds, great flow, wonderful shading and just all around great inks. The flow is best described in saying that Oxblood is a "free bleeder Ox." The Oxblood has quickly become a favorite.
