Rated 4 out of 5 by CD151 from Love this color! I don't get the richness of blue seen in the Goulet sample when I write, but I still love the color. Its hard to explain but this is definitely a "moody" color of ink. At the start of writing when the ink flow is heavy, it looks almost black, but as the flow dries up a bit, you get the greyish-blue hues and shading. I originally purchased this ink in standard/intl cartridges looking for a water proof, blue-black or midnight blue. Im not thrilled with the price, considering the value you can get from other inks at a third of the cost, but I loved the color enough to buy a bottle. I currently have a Delta Unica [F] loaded with this ink and have also used a Jinhao x750 with a Goulet Nib [F]. Both write smooth and consistently with this ink. The image samples are from the Delta Unica [F] on Leuchtturm1917 (B5) 80g Ivory paper.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nyamar17 from Ok ink if you're looking for water resistance I fell in love with the swab and was really excited to try this ink. It dried moderately fast (~25 sec) and held up decently to water (some bleeding, but remained legible). The color is a nice muted dark blue that seems appropriate for more conservative settings. I was able to get some shading. What I found disappointing was that the color didn't really "pop" or lay down nicely on the page - it took a good 1/2 a page of Rhodia dot pad writing before the color really started to lay down (not sure if it's because it was diluted from the cleaning I did prior to filling with this or if it just didn't like my Lamy Safari fine nib). Overall, has some nice qualities, but didn't really feel "special" to me. Much preferred using De Atramentis Document Fog Grey (which came out as more of a blue) - similar properties and much smoother writing experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Evan from Beautiful, serious, classic blue-black I’ve tried around 10 blue-black inks, and for me, this was the one. The blue comes through with just the right amount of saturation and shading— you know you’re writing with fountain pen ink! Not too teal, not too black, for someone who prefers a serious, classic color. Flows nicely, dries relatively quickly, and is reasonably water-resistant (but not permanent by any stretch).
