Girologio Double Magnetic Closure Pen Case - Oxblood is rated

Fine case. Limited protection. Rough finish
I grabbed a double pen case in oxblood as soon as I could. I was interested in a hard sided case that wasn't just extremely expensive. I was a little disappointed with this particular offering. The case rigidity is pretty great. The finishing touches on this case are very rough. The seams around the top are very loose and the glue is exposed. The leather around these seams is discolored and an eyesore. The pen compartments are very large and accommodate Visconti Homo Sapiens with ease. The lining within the case is very thin so smaller pens rattle around. I put a Visconti Brunelleschi and a Montblanc Starwalker in my pocket and the starwalker rattles around like crazy. The lining is very thin and seems rough to the touch. The magnetic closure works very well.

This beautiful, sturdy case could hold two trucks with room to spare! I use it to house my “at home” writing instruments: Lamy 2000 fountain pen and matching mechanical pencil. This case could hold writers twice their diameter! The leather’s color is rich, the snap enclosure works as advertised. This is not a case i’d carry around as it’s rectangular and rigid; maybe a blazer pocket but definitely not a pants pocket. For something you store in or on a desk, it’s perfect.
