Faber-Castell WRITink Fountain Pen - Black, Fine is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE this pen, so unique & writes beautifully! I'm so glad I purchased this pen. I loved the raised fingerprint and also the price. I take two notebooks & several fountain pens with me everywhere I go. One day my case with pens fell onto the pavement as my husband stopped, let me out in front of a building then drove over my case crushing all the pens. After that I wanted some still unique, well writing, but less expensive pens to take out with me. This pen does exactly that. I've had this pen inked with Saguaro Wine from the day it came. No matter how long it sits unused it always writes the very moment the nib touches paper. It has a very fine smooth nib. I may buy more.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Scratchy yet beautiful I'm in love with the design but not the nib. I bought the pen based on Faber-Castell's reputation of inexpensive buttery smooth fine nibs. Perhaps a the company decided to go in a different direction with the WRITink. Also the starter ink cartridge was difficult to remove. I had to pierce it to remove it from the barrel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the price This is a beautiful fountain pen and looks and feels of a great quality. I fiddle a lot with my pens and the finger print, made of some sort of rubber, falls off, leaving me with black specks all over. If I could just leave it alone, instead of playing with it, it wouldn't be an issue. There is a sealant in the cap and in the body, which makes the pen tight, and my ink doesn't dry out as much. The sealant also makes sure I don't get ink all over my hands, after it has been thrown around - which happens regularly due to my job in the military. The pen writes smoothly and puts down a decent amount of ink. The cap leaves marks on the body of the pen when posted, but it isn't something you notice that much. A great pen I will continue to use on a regular basis.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not What I Expected I bought this pen because I love the nib on my Faber-Castell Loom. Unfortunately the nibs are not the same nor is the overall writing experience. I realized this pen is a beginner's pen but I expected more from this brand. The Pelikano, for example, is wonderful. Beginners might like this own, but I don't.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Neat looking, scratchy, and robust It looks really cool just like the pictures. The fingerprint will rub off though as mine did, granted I did just throw the pen in a satchel pocket every day for two weeks. The disappointing thing is that it writes scratchier than any other pen I've used. I expected it to be the opposite with the reputation of the loom, but alas this pen is not the loom. Overall I don't recommend this pen at the price range. The coolest thing about it is the fingerprint and now I just have a sub par pen. Usable, but disappointing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Faber-Castell WRITink Fountain Pen So when I first got this pen, I hated it. The nib seemed very stiff and the flow was not super wet, which I prefer in a pen. However, after changing the ink color and then using it in a new journal, now I love it! It's still not my most favorite pen, but I tend to like using this one on cheaper paper because I really enjoy the feedback from it. Mine is not scratchy at all, but it does give feedback that I find very pleasant on certain papers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels great I have two other Faber-Castell pens and each had a draw back. One was too long when posted and the other had a metal grip that was hrd for me to hold. The WRITink over came both these problems. It looks nice, feels nice, and writes reliably. I recommend it to those who want a good but relatievly inexpensive pen.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from scratchy and now fingerprint is peeling I got this as a gift and I really like how it looks and feels. It tends to scratch a lot. I have use the pen maybe 3 or 4 times and now the fingerprint is peeling off the pen. I don't want to even use it any longer as I am affraid that I am going to end up with just a plain white pen.
