Faber-Castell Loom Fountain Pen - Gunmetal Matte, Fine is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional writer I am really enjoying using this pen. It writes very smoothly - even with a fine nib. I really like the fit and finish of the pen. The transition from the body to the section is seamless and very comfortable. I enjoy holding the section and find it a very comfortable material. All the parts of the pen have excellent fit. The body screws smoothly and securely into the section. The F-C converter that I ordered with the pen fits securely into the feed. Unlike another fountain pen I have, the converter does not shake loose inside the body during use. Finally, the cap posts smoothly and gives the pen the perfect length for me to write with. Overall, I love the fit and finish of this pen - obviously well made and well worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional pen for the money! This is a very good-looking, smooth-writing, substantial pen with great features for the money. It's an excellent value, and I would definitely recommend it as a "step-up" pen for someone looking to go up the next level from starter pens like a Kaweco Sport or Pilot MR. The F-B Loom looks great clipped to your shirt, and when you take it out to sign your name, people notice. The smooth nib (i got a fine) is wet with a little bit of feedback, and it's a joy to write with. Posted, the pen is hefty and well-balanced, perfect for someone with larger hands. For the smaller-handed, i might go unposted. I love the finish and the color too! Can't recommend this pen enough. Should be a part of every FP pen enthusiast's collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smoothest Fine Nib Ever I bought this a while ago, I also bought one in broad and they are my favourite pens! I don't like the style, but the grip is great. The look isn't my favourite, but seriously this is an amazing pen. Buttery smooth, comfortable size, weight, and grip. I suffer from sweaty hands and the grip section isnt polished smooth and has ribbing for texture so it doesn't slip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite inexpensive pen Based on a review by Brian, I decided to give this pen a shot. I'm relatively new to fountain pens, so I'm still learning a lot from each one I get. This pen is very solid. The writing experience is pleasant. It writes well, both normally, and upside down (if you're looking for a little finer line, and don't mind the slight additional 'scratchiness'). I like the color options, and the smoothness of the body & grip when writing unposted. When writing posted, I think it's a little too top-heavy, so I don't do that (which is perfectly fine...just sayin'). For the relatively inexpensive price, I'm completely happy with the pen. The feel, quality, and writing experience of the pen exceed it's low entry price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Pen Wow, I love this pen. It is SMOOTH and delivers consistent ink flow. I even use a drier Noodler's ink and it flows better than in my Pilot Metro. It is a more expensive pen (according to my budget anyway), but it is worth every dollar. Oh and if you like the piano finish, don't let the idea of fingerprints stop you from buying it. It still looks good with a few fingerprints and they are hardly noticeable. Lastly, the fine isn't too fine. It is probably about as wide as a rollerball pen or maybe just a hair thinner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Personal Favourite This is definitely my favourite pen. I purchased it almost a year ago. On average, I spend over 20 hours a week writing, approximately a third of which is spent on this pen, and the ink flow has been perfect and the nib has been smooth with no need for adjustment throughout the entire time; not to mention the styling is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Writes like a stick of butter I find this pen heavier than I would like. It's heavier towards the tip even when posted. It is definitely the thickest fine I have ever owned. But the minute I put pen to paper it's like that feeling of melting a butter stick by rubbing it in a hot pan. It writes so smooth with all my inks. Aesthetically, this pen is so pretty. I used to have ink problems with this pen where each time I opened it I would get ink magically everywhere on the grip, the cap, etc. Just low key panic every time. But It doesn't happen anymore. I have no idea what I did wrong. I would definitely buy this pen again just for the buttery smoothness if I ever wanted a repeat pen. (I actually got my friends to buy their own because of the nib. soooo)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faber Castell LOOM - First impression Hi! I recently got new fountain pen - Faber Castell LOOM and I really enjoyed how its looks and writes. Quite soft, but in the same time with good feedback from paper (instead from Lamy Stodio - for me too much soft, almost without any paper feeling). There was excellent choice with fine nib (during the ordering I wasn't be sure wich one will be best for me - fine or extra fine), so extra fine will be too thin. I used and liked Parker IM M and parker 88 with gold nib, they have feedback too, but for now (just my opinion) they seems little bit harder during writing process. For sure for this moment Faber Castell is number one for everyday use with LAMY black ink (tested with CROSS black and MontBlanc Irish Green) once more!! it's only my opinion and feeling!!
