Edison Nouveau Premiere Fountain Pen - Cappuccino is rated 4.7333 out of 5 by 45.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful new addition I purchased this pen a bit suspicious of a steel nib. I use a Safari and TWSBI every day and find them lacking in character and responsiveness compared to a gold nib. After spending the morning writing with the Edison, I'm happy to report that the fine steel nib is fantastic. The nib is responsive and lays down a consistent fine line. Pictures do not do the color or finish justice. Only when the pen is being used to write will you notice the shimmer and shine. The Edison Nouveau will find a place in my weekly rotation of pens and I look forward to figuring out which ink matches this great fountain pen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite pen. I have had this pen for about a week. I compared it to the list of pens i own below and have come to a very unexpected conclusion. I like this pen more than those listed below. Why? The light weight, ergonomic type of finger grip, length is perfect unposted (to long posted), the nib (fine) is wet and smooth, the color is both work appropriate yet snazzy enough to stare at during long meetings. They say certain drugs are gateway drugs, but i am trying to decide whether i have found my final fountain pen or whether i should buy a special edison. Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wish there was an option for more stars. Hands down the finest writing instrument I've ever had the pleasure to use. Mechanism: The nib is smooth, wet, and aesthetically pleasing. The fine nib was my choice and I haven't been sorry. The pen fits perfectly in my big mitts posted or not. Aesthetics: The finish is almost that of a tiger-eye or similar gem. It refracts light so that the pen shines. The shape and style of the pen is simple yet elegant; the vision of a classy writing tool. If you had to pick one expensive writing tool to own, the Edison Nouveau Premiere receives my honest and full recommendation. Brian Goulet personally responded to an email I sent asking about this pen, which makes the whole experience fantastic. Hats off to the "Brian G" duo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Pen but Featherweight The Goulet Pen Company requested feedback on my recent purchase of an Edison Nouveau Pemiere. As other?s have pointed out, the pen is very attractive. I chose a fine steel nib and it writes beautifully; in fact, the nib seems superior to some of the much more expensive gold nibs I have used. This is a delightful pen. For my hand, at 17g, the Nouveau Pemiere seems a bit too light and fragile for everyday use. Also because of its mass, torque generated when writing quickly can transfer to the coupler between the nib section and barrel causing it to loosen. Goulet?s ordering process is remarkable, the status of a purchase is updated often and delivery is prompt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A beautiful pen, but . . . I believed that this would be the best and last fountain pen that I'd ever purchase but I have been disappointed with this pen. PROS: a gorgeous pen with a beautiful gold plated nib; the long nib makes it look very feminine and tasteful; the brown swirls are very beautiful; a "fine" nib is definitely a fine nib. CONS: when I use this pen probably 1 time out of 5 my finger has ink stains on it; even though I carry it in a pen holder in an upright position, it has leaked in my purse; due to the length of the nib, at times it has been difficult to fill in a Herbin ink bottle which has been partially used. Yes, it's a beautiful pen but I can't say that I've been happy with it. Sorry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent pen, stiff nib. Overall, I do like the pen, I really do. It has a nice feel, smooth seams, and looks great. I feel as though I was expecting something more from this pen though. The nib that came with it (steel fine) was very rigid and skipped. That was no big deal, Brian Gray agreed to take a look at the nib and figure out what was wrong with it. In the meantime, I ordered some nibs (fine and extra-fine) tuned by a nib meister. With those nib, the pen was definitely better and the best it could be. Somehow though, it just felt kind of cheap. Maybe it is just too light or too small for me, but the pen feels slightly insignificant. I have large hands, so this may sway my opinion. I don't know if I'll be purchasing another Edison, but I know that I still have a very nice pen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Pen and Oh so Smooth I received this pen as a gift from my wife, and I could not be happier. It is my first 'upgrade' fountain pen after starting with a Pilot Metro. The pen itself is lovely to look at, very light to hold, and writes very smoothly. I've had no issues with it at all and recently purchased medium and fine nibs to go with the broad nib I got originally. I'm very much impressed with this pen indeed. That said, this is my first broad-nibbed pen and my first pen that cost more than $15 so that affects my ratings below. I have no idea how it compares smoothness or wetness wise with other more expensive pens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A top quality pen! The first thing that struck me about this pen was the 3-dimensional look of the golden-brown Cappucino swirl pattern. Absolutely gorgeous! Every aspect of the pen (nib, converter, housing, screw threads, finish) exudes quality. It writes beautifully; smooth on all kinds of paper, and the ink flow is a little on the wetter side (medium nib) than I'm used to, but that's not a bad thing for me. The service and communication from Goulet Pens has also been outstanding! Thanks heaps!
