Edison #5 Steel Nib Unit - Silver, Extra-Fine is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect up grade. I recently purchased an Edison #5 steel nib to replace the mob in a Levenger L-Tech. The nib that came on the pen was too wide and smooth for my taste. I'm one of those people who actually prefer a little resistance to the nib; not scratchy, just a little slower on the paper. The Edison was a perfect solution and added more definition to my writing. It fit the pen perfectly. I called ahead of time to see if Goulet had any experience with the fit. They didn't but were very helpful and assured that if it didn't work, to simply rerun it with no issues. The uberpackaging helped a lot too since the Post Office decided to send it to Missouri via Anchorage, Alaska for some reason.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great in my TWSBI 580 I agree with the other reviews for this nib -- it's absolutely wonderful! I bought it to use in my TWBSI 580. I just popped the Edison nib out of the collar and put it on the TWSBI. The TWBSI need has a cut-out for the nib, but the Edison fits in perfectly. (I tried putting the Edison feed in to the TWSBI collar -- it fit, but I have better luck just using the TWBSI feed.) I found the TWSBI extra-fine nib to have a bit to much flex. I like a very firm writer, and the Edison fits the bill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from no adjustment needed The quality of these nibs has really gotten good. Recently all the ones I've received have been perfectly tuned just as they came to me, which is surprising for somebody with a long experience in fountain pens. I also like this EF point size, as it seems a lot of F nibs have been getting fatter, and I am using EFs more and more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Nib! I bought this to go in my Twsbi Diamond 580. It was very easy to replace the old nib with this one. The nib has a littile feedback but is still very smooth overall. The nib is a bit wetter than I expected it to be but it is still quite fine. Overall i am happy with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well constructed I will preface this review with the disclaimer that I bought this #5 EF nib to replace a nib in one of my Levenger True Writer fountain pens. The entire nib unit looks like it will fit, but the diameter of the face of the unit is a little smaller than the Levenger, and screws too far in. I tried swapping the feed and nib only, but the feed pin is incompatible with the Levenger pin, so I could only swap the nib itself. Sadly, the Edison nib does not feed well with the Levenger feed - it required entirely more pressure than I am comfortable exerting on a fountain pen to even get ink to flow. I tried adjusting it a little, but I think it's just a basic incompatibility between the two products (as Brian alludes to in his answer about the question, below). Now, I will say that the nib arrived in pristine condition, and needed no tine leveling whatsoever. As well the parts look very well constructed, and I have no doubts that if I were installing this into an Edison pen, it would function flawlessly. I will probably try to install the entire unit in my pen at a later time - it is currently testing an ink sample, so I'm hesitant to waste more ink swapping parts again. The nib does dry-write quite smoothly, only a tiny bit of scratchiness. Probably due to the tiny point. I look forward to getting it feeding reliably, as I am always looking for a great EF nib and have several True Writers that could use a replacement.
