Diamine Poppy Red (80ml Bottled Ink) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Teacher approved I bought the Diamine Poppy Red about a month ago along with a TWSBI Eco, with the intention of using them to red line student drawings and work. The Eco works great and the Poppy Red ink is perfect for the job of grading and red lining. It's easy to read and can not be confused for a standard writing ink. I've never had a flow issue. It works well on a variety of cheap papers and in a fairly wide temperature range. once it is dry the ink doesn't seem to smear. My students seem to be paying more attention to the notes left in the wake of a grading period than they used to. I will be purchasing this ink again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright, light red I recommend this ink If you're looking for a bright, brilliant red. Excellent flow and consistency in the lines. Good saturation. Color is close to a down the middle red, but depending on where and how you look at it, you might think there's orange and/or pink hues there. Great for markup, editing, or times when you want your writing to convey emotion (love, anger). At least try a sample of it. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not the Average Red This color pops off the page with its brightness. Richer and more vibrant than Noodler's Red, but not nearly as feathering or bleedthrough resistant on cheaper paper. For use as an everday/classroom pen (notes and general writing), stick with better quality paper, or a less saturated red. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Color I needed a red that would work for redlining engineering drawings and this ink is perfect. Not to dark and not pink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Red that POPS I love this red. This red just has more POP to it than other reds. It almost glows. I have used it for editing, but I also love it for note taking, and I have even written a couple of letters with it. The flow is good. I have used it on nice and inexpensive paper with no issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pop goes the poppy red Was looking for a bold and bright red, just a little more "pop" than what would be considered the standard generic red. Still haven't tested Diamine Passion Red and their Classic Red, but this red I am so satisfied with, its still installed in my red pen.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Feathering... I must say that I really, really like the color of this red, but unlike other people, have found it to be poorly performing. It did not feather on Rhodia paper or Black n Red paper, as expected, but it did on some paper that has no problems with any other inks I have used on it. I was using a Japanese fine point, so the problem was not the amount of ink coming out on the page. It also seems to take longer to dry than other inks I have used. (For Reference: Lamy Black, Turquoise, Noodlers BSIER, Apache Sunset, J Herbin Orange Indien, Cafe des Iles) Just so you know, it doesn't really shade.
