De Atramentis Document Ink - Yellow (35ml Bottled Ink) is rated
Rated 4 out of 5
I recently purchased this ink to add to my De Atramentis ink collection. I use my inks for sketching. My end game is to mix this ink with the Dark Brown or the Dark Blue within the same brand to see what happens. The ink performed well when I tested it with a dip pen. There was no feathering. I have not put it in a fountain pen. The ink has a lot of depth, a strong color. I will come back and give a second review after I have played with it more. I am pleased with my purchase. What a unique color.

Permanent on Paper; Temporary in Pen
This is a bright saturated yellow ink. On drying the ink is waterproof. I purchased it to mix with the red version to make a waterproof orange. The red version was too purple to make a nice bright orange. But the reason for the low rating is how this ink jams up the feed in a fountain pen. This is a pigment-based rather than dye-based ink and should be considered appropriate for dip-pens only. If you put this in a fountain pen, it must be considered for immediate, temporary use only. Failing that, if you have an ultrasonic cleaner you may be able to fix your clogged feed. I'm hoping to save my pen from this ink. FWIW: Noodler's waterproof orange highlighter ink has this same clogging problem. I do not know of a waterproof orange fountain pen ink that does not clog a fountain pen.

I used this to finish a watercolor painting and loved it. The sample size was a fun way to try it out. And the color is great! It also mixed really well with a couple other document inks for a good brown.
