De Atramentis Dante Alighieri (35ml Bottled Ink) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Red of My Dreams I've sampled over a dozen reds. This is the one that my internal Goldilocks says is "just right." It's the right shade to make it a true red - not purplish, not pinkish - just red. De Atramentis have managed to add excellent saturation without any bleed-through on my Ampad Gold Fiber yellow pad. Update - August 24, 2013: It has simply become my favorite ink. Its depth is remarkable. Can't they all be this good? While it may go without saying, I'll say it any way. The service from Goulet is excellent. Alex has patiently walked me through my quest for red. It's rare to find this kind of personal attention. Goulet is the gold standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like! I had been unjustly blaming my new Dialog 3 for drying out between writing sessions, but it turned out that Noodler's Fox Red was the culprit. Since replacing it with the De Atramentis Dante Alighieri (aka Ruby Red) it has been flowing freely. The color is fairly deep and towards the violet end of the red spectrum.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bold Red This is, as other reviews have mentioned, is a really, bold red. It is labeled as Ruby Red on the bottle and is more red than the sample on the site shows, which is to me has more of a pinkish quality. Overall it is solid ink. I just wish it behaved a little better on some of the cheaper papers I've used it on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The red I was looking for. I have been looking for a great, deep red and this is it. I really like the J. Herbin 1670 but on cheaper paper the saturation gets sucked into the paper leaving an almost orange color behind. Have not had that problem with the Dante. It stays a dark red and the flow is on the wet side. Great color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from That's *THE RED* It is precisely the same color that scared me every time I saw my teacher notes and red circles on my tests...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love! Love! Love! My new favourite ink. The colour is beautiful and deep. I use it in my Lamy Vista with an italic nib and it flows quite wet. Awesome!
