One day a few years ago, Brian and Rachel Goulet were enjoying a fast and delicious meal from Bojangle's here in Virginia. Brian noticed Rachel selectively targeting her chicken & fries first - so he inquired into her apparently strategic dining approach. Rachel simply replied with "I want to end on a biscuit."
From then on, they adapted the phrase "End on a biscuit" to be synonymous with finishing things on a positive note and saving the best for last. Brian shared this story on one episode of The Goulet Pencast and it was quickly adopted by our pen friends! Now Rachel's unintentional life mantra can get stuck to your notebook or tumbler, as reminder to save the best for last, go out with a bang, or simply to enjoy more of life's biscuits - figuratively or literally.
