Known as a leading manufacturer of shearling & leather garments and leather goods, Aston Leather guarantees a superior quality and super warm product perfect for today's lifestyles. As the largest East coast exporter of American lambskin, they are very selective in the materials they use and acquire only premium quality American, French and Spanish merino and Toscana skins for their garments. Every step of production is held to the highest standard, since all of their products are manufactured in their tanneries and factories.

Aston's domestically-made leather goods are world-class. Established over 20 years ago in the heart of New York City's Greenwich Village, Aston began with a few skilled craftsmen, creating unique handcrafted custom-made bags and leather jackets for the passerby and residents of the Village - artists, writers, European tourists, Japanese businessmen and celebrities. Aston Leather Single Slip Pen Pouch - Tan is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 222.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ok Good value for the money, though it seemed to me that one strip of leather had a slightly different 'shape' (it came down to millimeters, really) than the other. As such, the whole construction was slightly crooked. No noticable effect on functionality. Another thing I noticed is that this pen pouch is really tight. I use it for my namiki falcon which works fine. The TWSBI580 is a bit thicker, and also slides in a more difficult manner. The pen pouch is also pretty deep: the pen is difficult to get out if you put it in too deep. My suggestion: cut the stitches a bit lower, so that the flaps become longer and the pen is more easy to take out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for smaller pens This is a wonderful pen pouch. Very nice quality, and I assume it will last a while. I would not try to fit larger pens in this pouch however. They may fit in, but they will be very hard to remove. Maybe this will loosen up with time and wear. I would also only use screw on capped pens, I tried a Lamy Safari and the cap comes off when trying to take it out. Its a snug fit. I currently use it for my Pilot Custom Heritage 91. This pen fits snugly, and comes out with little effort. I wouldn't use anything larger than this pen in it. The price is a little high in my opinion, but it is real leather, so I guess its justified.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice single pen pouch The Aston Leather pouch is a lovely piece of leather -- as you'd expect, it's a snug fit on anything but a very slim pen, but a great way to carry or store any fine pen. The leather is very good quality. I am putting fattish pens in it (TWSBI Vac700, Lamy Safari) to let the leather stretch for a few days - to extract the pens I squeeze the bottom like a tube of toothpaste. It is already softening up and I expect to carry it in my briefcase every day. I've found the best way to insert a pen is not to push it all the way to the bottom - short pens like the PRERA will get lost inside, but it is long enough to completely enclose a long pen like the Vac-700.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft yet strong This is my very first pen pouch for my very first fountain pen, but I am very impressed with both the suppleness of the leather as well as the strength. The only downside is that my pen cap has a very substantial clip, which doesn't fit overly well in the pouch (Lamy All-Star) so I have to be careful that it doesn't get stuck. The pouch is beginning to stretch just enough to accommodate it, however this probably means it will feel a bit loose on a pen with a more traditional clip. That's not a defect of the pouch though, just something to be aware of if you are using it with a pen like the Lamy All-Star.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now that I've loosened it up, I love it! When I first got it, I tried putting my metropolitan in it and my pen got stuck! After a minor freak out, I got it out. I tried to put my Ahab in to stretch it (and it's my only screw cap) and it got stuck and I struggled to pull it out. Finally resorted to a slightly wider stick that was long enough to be able to easily remove. It's perfect now. And I only had to use the stick for a day. #makeupconcealerforthewin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality The pouch is of high quality and I give it the highest mark possible. I had bought it to store the pen in my dress shirt pocket to avoid the possibility of ink stain on my shirt, say during a meeting (a nightmare of mine). The only problem is that because it naturally tapers toward the end due to the stitching and tight fit (necessarily so I might add), the pen actually sits a little above the very bottom of the pouch making it necessary that the pouch be a little longer than the pen. It means the pouch protrudes fairly significantly above the top of the shirt pocket, increasing the possibility of falling out of the pocket and also making it a bit unsightly and obvious. But, I still use it. Better than getting ink on the shirt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fills the bill This pouch is slim, so my Pilot 823 has a tight fit and is sometimes a challenge to get out. Squeezing the bottom of the pouch is about the only way to get the Pilot out. A stouter pen would have trouble fitting. But the tight fit guarentees the pen won't come out easy or fall out. The pouch is a half inch longer than the Pilot, so you might say it fits in length. Shorter pens would disappear inside. The leather is pebbly and softer than other slip pouches I have. the opening for the pouch is not lined or stitched which surprised me as it will have a tendency to curl outwards over time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed :-( While the leather cases were what I expected (ordered one tan and one black) they gave me an unexpected unpleasant surprise - they caused excessively aggressive tarnishing of my Sterling Silver Yard-O-Led writing instruments. My intent was to protect them from scratches - but residual tanning agents obviously caused accelerated tarnishing.
