Apica Premium CD A4 Notebook - Blue, Lined (8.27 x 11.69) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Writer's Desk Notebook This is probably the most smooth paper I've ever written on. Every pen and pencil I've used on it has glided over the sheet like it was glass. There is almost no tooth at all to it, which is to my liking. Wet writers like my Visconti Homo Sapiens show no bleed through, it's almost difficult to tell there's anything written on the reverse of a sheet. Drying times are a little higher because the paper isn't absorptive so a little care to prevent smudging is necessary, but worth it for the smooth writing experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rivals the best of them. I bought one of these on a whim. I generally use Quo Vadis notebooks, but I was interested in something larger for some language studies (Attic Greek). I am very pleased with the quality of the paper; smooth and heavy, and I've had no problem with bleed-through. The large format is ideal for my notes and exercises. If you really need a hard cover there is a large format Leuchtturm 1917, but the Apica paper is, in my opinion, of much higher quality. I will definitely be ordering this notebook again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Softest, Smoothest Paper I love glassy smooth paper, and this definitely fits the bill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The finest paper in my collection! Yes, I do have all the papers you read people use to get shading and other things. For me, it's all about loving to just write things down. From that point of view, I love this paper! I have most of the brands the Goulets carry, but I do my writing tests in these notebooks. I bought a wide range of papers/notebooks (mostly lined) so I could write/test and compare them to each other. I tend to use multiples at one time, to keep categories, and I've used them from everything from classic journaling, to charting oil paints! I have 3 favorites now, Apica CD series, for compact and targeted and smaller project oriented noting, Quo Vadis for travel journaling, and these for my daily writing. These notbooks are compact and still have a lot of paper. They are pricey but filled with paper and extremely high quality. They are so finely put together that I had to look under bright light to make sure they are stitched. Oh yes indeed. But the "signatures" or w/e you call them are very small, and there are so many in this book you can hardly tell that the thing is stitch bound. Apparently I'm not the only one who has to do a double look. Apica smartly colored the outside stiches so you can see the center of the signature. As for paper, it is absolutely beautiful to write on! I'm not into calligraphy, I just write by hand for the kinetic and tactile joy of it. If I could make a wishlist for this notebook, it's that they mixed up the cover colors with the formats .. 'cause I love the red but hate graph paper. On the other hand, if they ever get to making dot grid paper, I would love that in these notebooks.
