Quo Vadis Habana - 6.25 x 9.25, Lined Paper, Raspberry is rated 4.7941 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My #1 choice for journals Until I got the Habana, I was a Moleskine fan. In fact, I have five or six of them filled, and had three still in their wrappers. But, the last two were not up to their former level of quality - rough paper, poor binding (my last one split the cover just from normal use) and pricey. I spent time researching new journals and was headed toward a Rhodia web book when Brian recommended I investigate the Quo Vadis line. The quality, size (bigger) and Clairefontane ivory paper convinced me. I am using one now and it is satisfactory in every way. I am a convert and recommend them if you keep a journal, or just like to write on first class ivory paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for journaling I have been using the 6.25x9.25 Quo Vadis Habana for personal journaling for over a year now. The paper is high quality. No problem writing on both sides, which in the end, saves money by making full use of the paper. I use a variety of vintage and contemporary fountain pens for my journals. The Habana handles all ink flow characteristics with ease; and there is no bleed-through. I like dealing with the Goulet Pen Co. The prices are good; shipping is fast and reasonable; and my items always arrive with a personal touch that bespeaks the seller actually cares about quality and customer satisfaction. I especially like dealing with this new generation of entrepreneurs like Brian and Rachel Goulet. They and their crew represent what is good about America and why people of my generation can be hopeful about the future of our great nation. Dr. Neil D. Anderson Asbury University Wilmore, Kentucky

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Product! Everything about this notebook exceeded my expectations. My decision was between the Webnotebook and the Habana. I made the right call. Even though the paper is 5g lighter than its competitor, there were no bleed through troubles. That's saying something; I used a pointed dip flex pen with India ink... The leather feels great, the back pocket holds a decent amount, and the elastic stays fairly tight. As you'd expect, it takes a while to dry if you're using a saturated ink and a wet pen. Be sure to check if it's dry before you close this journal or the opposite page Can get sloppy. The margins are perfect for anything at or below a medium nib. I'd feel cramped if it was more than a medium. Don't hesitate with this product! It's a keeper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For Comparison With the Rhodia Webbie Got this Habana to compare with my (previously) preferred Rhodia Webbies - but the Jury is still out. Love the Rhodia Dot, but with the close ruling and full page writability on the Quo Vadis there is a great deal more info recorded on each page. Clairfontaine Paper is perfect in both, and it writes well on both sides of the page with a wide variety of FP inks and nibs from EEF to OB. Smooth but not slippery. NO shadow or bleed through. I am not ready to decide between the Webbie and the Habana, but the pages are filling up in the Habana faster than in the Webbie. Try them both and then decide.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tiny micro line spacing If you have super tiny micro handwriting this may be the book for you. otherwise stay away. This used to be the best notbook out there, Great paper quality and the book lays flat. The problem is, they changed the line spaceing to a miniscule 5.5mm. The cheap mead wirebound college ruled notbooks you might be used to are 7mm and for some people even that is tight. I hope that when clairefontaine sees their sales drop off they will go back to the 8mm or a 7mm. This was my go to notebook but now I search for another. Its such a shame

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Journal for Small Writing Just received my very first Quo Vadis Habana. Love the paper, love the size. Wish the paper came in white; but the ivory is very nice. No bleed through at all, even with a wet pen and dark ink, not even much show through. Paper is nearly perfect. The only issue is that the lines are very narrow. I'm used to a bit wider ruled paper. Overall the journal is very well made, very comfortable to use (lies flat), and the size is perfect for me. Next time I just may shoot for the blank one instead of the narrow-lined version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Notebook I've used Moleskines for years with my fountain pens--and I have not had the problems with feathering and bleed through that others have complained of. In fact, I like the way Moleskines absorb ink so swiftly: it makes for wonderful wet writing. But I need to say now that I think I will switch over to the Habana. The paper is slicker thank in a Moleskine, but there is enough friction to pull a nice wet line from my pens. So far, I've mostly used a Lamy 1.1 stub in it, and the effect is wonderful. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Choice This is a great notebook and really does the job much better than the Moleskin for notes and sketching. I'm using the Namiki Falcon with Noodler's Eel Black with no bleed through or feathering. The cover feels so much better to the touch than the Moleskin as well. Great service¥thank you!
