Rated 5 out of 5 by from That sold out fast.... I received an email alert Thursday that this was back in stock. Purchased it immediately as I was about to email Goulet Pen to see if there was any hope of this re-stocking. A few days later and it is out of stock again. Nice, darker purple shade but enough lighter purple to distinguish it. I use this for business notes, This ink is fine to use in the business world, and in fact had the most comments on where I found that shade. (They know I have gone into my fountain pen mode). I primarily use Diamine ink, but the Grape is just too purple for my preference, just for comparisons. Flows well, I have used it in Pilot Namiki, and the Monteverde Invincia - NightHawk on Midori Traveler Notebooks. I have not seen bleed thru on lesser paper either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy Ink! The colour of this ink is described as "aubergine", and it is a lovely dark purple. It flows well in the pen and exhibits minimal "bleed", even on poor quality paper. This ink is subtle in its effect and is likely to become a favourite with me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ohhh really nice dark purple color My favorite ink color till now, due the variety of colors that The Goulet Pens offers I wasn't sure which one to choose I didn't want a bright purple neither wine. I assessed the reviews to make my decision and I'm very happy with my choice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Alexander Hamilton This ink is a lovely deep purple, very refined. No need to fear looking like you have written in grape-flavored syrup, this ink is beautiful and very grown-up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous Ink This is my favorite shade of purple, and it writes very well. It's my first bottle of ink, so comparing it to cartridges might not be fair, and I'm new to fountain pens. so take my review with a grain of salt. I rate it as shading, but honestly I don't know what that means.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Ink This ink is my favorite of those I have used. It is dark enough to look professional, yet makes for an interesting change of pace from black. It is amazingly smooth in every pen in which I've tried it. It's an all-around winner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Violet! As last I found a real blue violet that doesn't look like blue/black on paper. Most ink labeled violet are really red violet (purple). This isn't. It's a little bit darker to me than Noodlers violet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy dark purple/auburgine I was introduced to this ink as a sample and as soon as I saw it I realized that I wanted a bottle of this ink. The ink flows smoothly, dark when laid down and such a yummy dark purple.
