Feels like a workhorse May 15, 2013
Reviewer: Matt Barrett from Seattle, WA
Tap the barrel and you get a metallic clink, like plumbing.  This is a sturdy pen from all sides.  The (F) nib is stiff as a nail but flows consistently and readily.  The metal grip isn't as slippery as it might look.  The clip attachment is a bit cheap-looking but it's there for life, and I don't foresee it failing at any point.  The only possible physical weak point is the stem of the feed- the only thing holding the converter/cartridge on is the friction on the stem itself, without any other sort of socket or collar to stabilize it.  besides the barrel itself.  I worry it might wiggle off if jostled too much and leak out the bottom of the barrel.  Another point of concern is the top of the cap.  There is no inner plastic cap, and the attachment of the metallic accent seems like it might allow some evaporation.  To be on the safe side I wouldn't use pigment inks in this.
Concerns aside, though, I'm glad I bought it.  It'll be fun to have in my daily rotation.

Sheaffer 100 Fountain Pen - Matte Grey with Nickel March 7, 2013
Reviewer: Mike from Milton, Florida, The redneck Riveria
This pen is a great pen. I like hefftier pens and this one is heavy duty. I think the nib is perfect. It flows perfectly. This is a great every day, affordable, fountain pen.
My dislikes are not major but minor things that adjust my level of comfort with the pen. The first is the clip. That is the stiffest clip I have ever encountered. It's almost too tight to clip on a shirt. Second is the "beauty ring" at the bottom of the pen in between the nib and the body of the pen. Mine is chromed. so anytime my fingers sweat, or its cold I have trouble grabbing the pen to actualy write. Third is that the lid doesn't stay on the back of the pen while you are writing very well. I am constantly launching the cap. However, it shows no signs of abuse.

Bargain February 23, 2013
Reviewer: ChemErik from Colorado
A bargain at the price.  Smooth nib the writes wet, but not excessively so.  Looking at others reviews, the nibs seem to vary a little in size and I think I have a wider one, making me glad I ordered a fine which seems to be sized on the border of fine and medium to me.  Perfect as a workhorse or EDC pen.

Good value February 5, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Fort Collins, CO United States
I really like this pen. Looks good, feels good to write with, and is a good value. Writes a little wet for my taste as I like extra-fine pens, but I am still very satisfied.

Great for the price! February 1, 2013
Reviewer: Bosco from Queens, NY United States
This pen is solidly built and writes great; a nice fine even line with every stroke. One little problem I did face was that the grip section got stained brown, leaving imprints of where my fingers held it. I haven't been able to clean it off, but with the pen being quite affordable, it doesn't bother me.
