Beautiful color, very feathery	October 14, 2012

I really love this color, but it is very very wet. I like thick inks that stay where they're put, and this one feathers even on Moleskine paper (which tends to do alright). I am using an EF Lamy nib, so I'm next going to try it in a larger nibbed pen (with a Pilot M) and maybe also on Rhodia paper. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this ink if it were only more viscous!

Great color, definitely dries with more of an Orange/Red, but if blood dried on the paper, I am sure it would look very similar

Beautiful Red Ink!	October 1, 2012

Nathan apparently developed this ink to honor those who fought and died in this horriffic battle of the Civil War. Since I am a Civil War buff and have every color of blue ink imaginable, I thought I would break out of the mold and order a red ink. It is a truly beautiful ink and dries to a soft but pleasant red color. It does tend to bleed on some paper but when this bottle runs out I will definitely buy another. This is a nice brown that leans towards the orange/gold end of the spectrum.

I want to love this ink...	August 16, 2012

...but I've had issues with it in several of my pens. When it works, it completely wows me. But sometimes it just seems to want to be a bit stubborn. At the moment it's in my Vanishing Point with a broad nib, and after getting the feed nice and full, it's absolutely lovely.

In my VP with a medium nib, I didn't get the dark line and shading I wanted. It tended to a light line, almost with a watery look.

If it keeps up the way it's looking right now though, it'll be staying in rotation for a while.

I'm not crazy about this one. I've put this a through a TWSBI 540 XF and it seem watered down. It's pretty orange and not at all the blood red I was expecting. Perhaps my expectations were off. It's a nice color, but more copper-y orange than red in my use.

First, let me say that the pen I'm using this ink with is not the best, but the ink does tend to bleed, and fairly gushes out of the nib...it's a very wet ink. The color is a much more brown color than I expected...I was hoping for something with a redder tinge. I may take a look at Diamine instead

This is a really great reddish brown that will age into a brownish red a few days after use. No feathering/behaves well.

Similar to Diamine ancient Copper, but it doesn't have the same pop. It's sort of the color or rust.

A good blood like red with good shading, especially with a flex nib. Not quite what I expected, as I thought it would have more of an orange tint to it, but still a good red.
