Obviously, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but this will not be replacing my Diamine Asa Blue.

Need a well behaved, decently flowing, and easy to clean blue that you can use to benchmark your pens? Stop reading reviews and buy this ink already. I use this ink often in new pens and to diagnose others with various performance issues.

The Goulet Pen Company really lived up to their reputation of excellent service. They were very accommodating with a last minute addition to my order as well. Everything came wrapped beautifully. I would highly recommend fulfilling your order(s) with Goulet Pen Company. I know I will be ordering again with them!

New Name for Florida Blue
November 7, 2012
Reviewer: Eric Lowenthal from Baltimore, MD United States
Good flow and deep saturation. Writes slightly wetter than some other inks on Lamy Safari with fine nib. But not clogging or skipping issues.

Recommended for a special reason
September 18, 2012
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Missouri
This ink, formerly known as Florida Blue, has been recommended to me as an ink to try when you think your fountain pen is in trouble. If your pen writes with this ink, then it is fine.
But if your pen does not write with Florida Blue, now Serenity Blue, then your fountain pen is definitely in trouble.
That is a good reason to have this ink on hand, and it is a good color too.

Waterman Serenity

I like Waterman inks, therefore I am biased.
However, the ink writes well and dries fairly fast.

A good mid-range, middle-of-the-road blue
August 4, 2012
Reviewer: Breck Breckenridge from Spokane, WA United States
This may add little to the previous reviews but I felt I had to say something just because I am enjoying this blue so much. I don't have that much experience with inks in general yet and the Waterman Serenity/Florida blue in my pen came as a sample. Regardless, it is a good mid-range, workhouse of a blue. I agree with SBRE Brown that this is a blue that one can always fall back on with the knowledge that all will be well. Nothing extraordinary or sexy, but then there are times and pens when one does not need the extraordinary and sexy.

A dependable classic.
July 28, 2012
Reviewer: Lynn Hansen from San Jose, CA United States
Waterman Florida Blue (now Serenity Blue) is the first ink I ever filled from. It was recommended to me by someone already experienced with fountain pens, and now I understand why. The French labeling on the Florida Blue bottle reads "Encre bleu effaable", which denotes this to be a washable ink. It comes off your fingers more readily than other inks, but takes to paper well and flows nicely.
All in all, you can't go wrong with this true blue ink by Waterman. Serenity Blue only gets four stars from me, however, because I feel that, despite its considerable strengths, the color and composition of the ink aren't anything spectacular or innovative.
