Not my favorite blue	November 28, 2012

A bit thin and desaturated for my personal tastes. I prefer a darker, richer blue. I found this ink to feather a bit more than I like on cheaper paper and the color is a bit too teal / green for my eye as well. I'm still on the search for the perfect blue.

This is a lovely tranquil blue, very well-behaved in the XF nib pen I tried it in. No water resistance worth speaking of, but would probably be suitable for business use.

I wanted to nice rich blue: this ink is nice to look at, and really nice to write with: all of my pens are smoother with it.

My only surprise (not really unpleasant) is that there seems to be a kind of green undertone in this Kensington Blue. Not bad looking--but maybe not so much what I was looking for. I like it anyway!

This blue is dark and depending on the lighting this could appear black.

I agree with the prior reviewer. I was expecting a darker blue. I also have Daimine Imperial Blue and the Imperial Blue is slightly darker, which was a surprise since the the Kensington appears darker in the bottle. However it is a nice medium blue low maintenance ink.

Some feathering on cheap paper.
Drying time 3sec.
Some shading visible, moderate saturation.
No nib creep or bleedthrough.
Very not waterproof.
