Rhodia No. 18 Notepad - 8.25 x 11.75, Dot Pad - Black is rated 4.8649 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rhodia is amazing! I have been writing on cheap paper (printer paper and binder paper) for the longest time. I decided to see why people always bring up Rhodia notepads. Not expecting anything from the thin paper, I inked up my Ahab with some dark ink and started doing some heavy flexing. To my surprise, there was no bleed-through. Compared to cheap paper, the shading of inks such as Apache Sunset are very pronounced on Rhodia. It takes a while to get used to dotted paper, but that's mostly because I'm used to lined or graph paper. The main disadvantage for me, ESPECIALLY since I am left-handed, is that when you do flex writing, inks take a long time to dry. Even as an over-writer, I still smear wet ink when I'm not careful. If you are an under-writer, then have at it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beginner in Calligraphy. I just started to pick up calligraphy, so I haven't tried many types of paper yet. However, I can say I like this one so far. The dot grid is less distracting and it allows me the flexibility to make my own grid. I haven't noticed my nib catching or scratching, and my Noodler's ink has very minimal feathering, if any at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny I believed this would be quality paper, and yet I was still surprised at how nice it feels. Before even opening the pad I could tell by the weight that this is something special. It seems to weigh twice as much as a similar sized stack of copy paper. The finish is smooth and I like the way it feels against both my Lamy Safari with a fine nib and the Konrad Flex. At this price, it's suitable for everyday use. Of course, it got here in great shape because a lot of care was put into the packing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for everything I bought these dot pads for school and drawing. These dot pads are really good for math homework and people are always commenting on the feel of the paper and the dot grids. I bought the pads in bulk for the discount and have given away most of them to friends who have fallen in love with these pads!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great paper, big pad I like the No. 16 dot pad better. I hesitate on writing with this bigger pad because it feels like a commitment--ha ha! I mean of course the paper is smooth and luxurious, but a pad like this is better for the office or work. But then again, why would I spend money on a nice notepad for work? Noodling around with my pens or writing letters or notes is better on the No. 16. If you're a legitimate writer, then you'll probably prefer this one! Great paper anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Paper This was my introduction to nice paper. I had been struggling with Mead products. I am so glad I got this. I will never go back to crappy paper again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great paper I love this notebook. It's the first full-size notebook that I have purchased and it's great. I much prefer the dots to lined paper and all of my pens and inks perform wonderfully on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pad Wonderful paper very smooth and easy to write on. Too bad it didn't improve my handwriting!
