SM Falcon..Metal Sapphire March 7, 2013
Reviewer: Janis from Whitehorse, YT Canada
I like the colour of the blue of this pen and it is very shiny.  Depending on the light you could almost call it periwinkle.
I am not sure about the SM...it is very gushy...not much variation in line width...can't imagine the point of getting a broad...and it SQUEAKS as it crosses the page...kinda annoying sound actually, which none of my other SEF or SF do.

Favourite Pen February 18, 2013
Reviewer: Jennie from Vic Australia
This is my second Falcon with a SM nib. (I also have the smaller Black Resin one.)  This has the same wonderful nib but with greater ink capacity. Insufficient ink capacity is my only issue with the resin one.  The metal one is heavier but as I like substantial pens and don't post the cap on any of my pens, it's fine for me.

Quality, smoothness, depth November 15, 2012
Reviewer: Michael H. from Tulsa, OK
Cutting to the chase:

- The quality of this pen is top notch.
- The nib is SMOOTH.
- The depth offered by the nib (more on that in a second) is great.
- The price is, sadly, too much for what it is.

The nib on the Metal Falcons is the exact same as on the Resin models, only coated with rhodium.

The Falcons are sometimes erroneously stated as being fully flexible nibs, which they aren't. They CAN be altered to be full flex, but from the factory they aren't.

And there are a group who say these nibs are ONLY "soft" nibs (not even venturing into the semi-flex arena).

But I disagree. I think these are most definitely semi-flex, especially when broken in. And you can even venture into *almost* full flex territory with the broken-in extra fine nibs.

The medium nibs are almost analogous to the line width variation of the Noodler's Ahab/Konrad nibs.

While I think these are too much, most won't regret spending the money on one, especially the excellent extra fine nib.
