Pilot Iroshizuku Shin-ryoku - Forest Green (50ml) is rated 4.2083 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deep & Consistent A classy bottle for a classical Japanese color. This color is very deep in green and reminds me of the spruce and moss found on the mountains in Kumamoto. The color is very consistent compared to it's lighter companions on the Iroshizuku line. So don't expect to see much difference with a lighter faster pace of writing to pull out is lighter tones. I have two lights on my desk I use for art and writing, each with a different color temp (2700K & 5000K). Under both lights the color seems to appear the same with the exception of the fringing and feathering where it stands out more under the 5000K. I find this to be the best green within the Iroshizuku collection.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, professional green This is one of three green ink samples I bought and is the one I like best. It is a good mid-grey-green. I would compare it to a blue-black,that is still obviously blue. Before it dries it definitely has a blue tinge to it, but that dries into a grey/sage look. While PR Ebony reserve is not as obviously green (which is why I like this one better), I still think this would work OK in a semi-casual professional setting. It is certainly not obnoxiously bright. The biggest problem with this ink is its drying time (hence docking one star). My quick test showed that it took at least 15 seconds to dry on most paper. And that is using a fine nib. However there was no observable feathering except on the most absorbent cheap paper. All in all a great colour, but drying time needs to be worked on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Green but a little boring! This is very well-behaved on Moleskine and Clairefontaine, and it shades very nicely; however, I prefer other green inks. My favorite color is green and I love finding a great green ink but this color is just OK to me, after trying Caran d'Ache Amazon, Private Reserve Avocado, and Sailor Jentle Epinard. I would still try this ink out if you have been thinking about it for a while.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not quite as unique as expected Was looking for more of a winter forest green, something subdued and not quite as bright as my Private Reserve Sherwood Green...the ink was good, with wonderful flow and lubrication and great shading with my Pelikan M800 IB nib...but brighter and not quite as far from the PR Sherwood as I'd hoped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful green & beautiful bottle! Love this shade of green w/ a touch of blue in it (that my eyes see). One might say this ink is pricey, but the lovely bottle makes it worth while. I won't make a habit of ordering different colors of this ink, but one or two spurges is warranted!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not my forest I was really interested to see and use this colour and compare it to my favourite green, Caran d'ache's Amazon. It seems to have more blue than I would like and will probably stick with the Amazon.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average Green Unlike the other Iroshizuku colors, this just doesn't seem to have anything special that makes it stand out from the crowd. It's just a good, solid green, with very little shading.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely green. This is a lovely green that really shines from a wet, broad nib. Using it with an italic nib is a dream, and the variation from grass green through deep pine green is gorgeous.
