Noodler's Bad Black Moccasin (3oz)

3oz (90ml) bottle of Noodler's Bad Black Moccasin fountain pen ink.

Blue Herons sometimes eat catfish alive. Such treatment of the Noodler's Ink mascot is reprehensible behavior, and thus these regrettable characters make up the "Warden's Ink Series". It is the first fountain pen ink of its kind and is Noodler's Ink's attempt at defeating certain new tools of the modern forger.

The new devices and their technological application have been made known to Noodler's Ink by Nicholas A. Masluk, a gentleman genius from Yale University (with a father who was in the Secret Service no less!). Noodler's Ink is confident in these new methods' ability to defeat the strongest roller ball inks on the planet.

This series aims to hinder this new threat to the longevity of the written word. While combining all the durability of the "bulletproof" designation against the forces of UV light, industrial solvents, detergents, etc., it also includes additional features made to foil the future possibility that forgers might discover certain additional new technologies and use them to ill ends.

Ink sample February 25, 2013
Reviewer: Theresa Dineen from Ark dale, WI United States
I ordered three ink samples for my fountain pen.  It came in just a few days and there was enough in each little container to get a good idea if I liked it.  I do!
Thanks for offering these samples at such a reasonable price.

I have used Noodler's Heart of Darkness in the past, but I like the small bottle. It is easier to fill my Hero pens.

my new black December 29, 2012
Reviewer: francisco zepeda
By far the best, darkest black i've ever used, especially considering that i was using lamy black (really bad) before this one. Based on the reviews i've read, this is no x-feather; but it gets fairly close, with one plus to it. there is very little feathering, probably won't notice it anyway and the best part is that it seems to dry faster than x-feather does. when it comes to service and delivery, there isnt much to be said, prompt and courteous as usual. Great work guys!

Noodler's Bad Black Moccasin December 26, 2012
Reviewer: Largo Usagi from Canton, MI United States
This is a very black ink and works exactly as advertised.  You can look here or other where to see how this writes but for me the seller is that its cheap, and an incredibly secure ink.  I had to prove to myself that this would be hard to remove, and it was impossible from my efforts.

I wrote a few sentences and let dry for a few minutes (roughly 5) then i wrote my signature and waited for the ink to be visually dry ( roughly 20 seconds).  I then started running it under warm water and bathed the paper in warm water, bleached, the paper ( this took out the pigment on the paper but not the black ink), used ammonia, acetic acid, Isopropyl alcohol, and other solvents such as nail polish remover.  The only result was the dye on the paper was quickly removed.  The ink was slightly discolored but still there, it didn't lighten but browned slightly in color.

This is the perfect signature ink, its a deep black in color and impossibly difficult to remove.
