First, I love the dot grid and the hard, substantially rigid cover. The paper feels soft and warm to the touch (for comparison, I'd consider Apica paper crisp and cold, if that makes any sense), and its off-white color adds to its soothing feel. Kind of comforting, in a way. The only problem I have is that any wet or thick line will spread a bit; i.e. a fine nib will look almost medium on this paper. There's no way I can play with an Ahab in this notebook since I can't get a good hairline and the thick strokes spread too much for me. However, with an ex-fine Pilot or a fine nib flipped upside down my small writing becomes legible again.

This is a moleskine slayer. Better paper, more pages, extra features, all-around excellent notebook.
