Size, Features Great; Paper So-So December 8, 2013
Reviewer: Alyx Hanson from Chicago, IL United States
I bought this notebook for a songwriting class. I wanted to love this notebook. As it is, I do like it. It's huge, and it's sturdy, and I love the indexing features.

The part that I'm less excited about is the paper. It's not horrible, but I do get significant ghosting and a bit of occasional bleed if I'm not using a very light hand. It's hit or miss whether I use the back sides of the paper. (For reference: I'm using Noodler's BBK in an EF Lamy Studio, Noodler's Lexington Gray in a F Parker 45, and Diamine Red Dragon in an EF Parker 45, and the BBK tends to bleed through the most often.)

It's not terrible paper, like I said, but it's not quite what I was hoping for given the cost and the other brilliant features of the notebook. Still, it'll probably remain my go-to choice for songwriting/general writing notebook.

Love the paper December 19, 2012
Reviewer: Joseph Delsordo from Changhua, Taiwan
I love to write and the Leuchtturm 1917 has met all my expectations. The pen glides across the impeccably smooth paper and I haven't seen any bleed through as of this writing. I highly recommend this product.

Notebook heaven November 26, 2012
Reviewer: Tim from glebe, NSW Australia
This is a very handsome note/sketchbook
It was slightly damaged on one corner when it arrived . the box must have been dropped on that corner, but I did'nt mind too much. It made it slightly less precious and less intimidating as a new Book. I love all the details and especially the page numbers. The paper bleeds a bit when using Namiki Fountain with black ink and  flex nibs with other colours but nowhere near as bad as Moleskin, which i dont use with fountain pens anymore. I also like the way it is slightly bigger than A4 which is handy for protecting documents in your bag... I will buy more

Excellent notebooks for work October 10, 2012
Reviewer: cypherz from Iowa, United States
I formerly used Moleskines but since I returned to my fountain pen habit, I found the Moleskine paper severely lacking. The Leuchtturm notebooks have been a better choice for me: lower price, very sturdy, the numbered pages have been a lifesaver.  I can go back later when reviewing my meeting notes and add entries in the table of contents.
Paper quality is very good and suitable for all my "work" inks.  There is a little show through but I'm not bothered by this.
