Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Value Nib Just received the 1.5mm Italic nib in the mail today. This nib is actually my first to venture away from either fine or extra fine. After installing it into my Safari (very, very easy to do) I started playing around with it with Noodler's 54th Massachusetts on a Five-Star notebook (not the best quality, I know). The nib has been a lot of fun to write with. It's made using my Safari a completely different writing experience than with the fine nib I originally purchased. My writing has a lot more flair to it, thanks to the properties of this italic nib. The nib writes quite smooth, especially when taking into account that it is a 10 dollar nib. It also lays down a fairly wet line that showcases a lot more of the properties of the ink that were previously unnoticeable. Although really a trivial issue, I just wish these were available in the anodized black. Overall, I highly recommend getting one or two different sizes if you are looking to change up one of your Lamy pens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1.5mm The 1.5mm italic may be a little too broad to write on cheap North American paper, but it can produce an outstanding line variation! I have small handwriting so I have to write slightly larger than normal with this nib, but it's really not a problem as long as you're looking at your words (and why wouldn't you be with this beauty?).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ink Keeps Up on the Safari I bought the 1.5mm to have some fun with my Lamy Safari. I have no complaints! Writing looks neat, and the ink flow has no problem keeping up with the nib(I'm using Noodler's Black ink).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expanding my Lamy Nibs to 1.5 mm I have a Lamy Al-Star with its original EF nib and I wanted to get this 1.5mm nib for it. I put it on, filled the Lamy with Platinum Pigmented Blue ink and it writes quite well. I've been using a couple of other pens with 1.5 nibs and I like the way this size stub writes for me. So easy and quick to switch the Lamy nibs. The flow with Pigmented Blue through this nib was nicely wet and uniform, and shows shading well. Glad I got this nib.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Italic Nib This is my first italic nib and I love it. With the instructions from the Goulet video I was able to easily swap out my medium nib from my Lamy Al-star and begin writing. The nib took a little getting used to but now I have no problems with it. I get great line variation with no stopping and very few problems with dry starts. I'm having a great time with this nib and I'm excited to try out new inks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 19.mm stubpendous I recently got the 1.9mm nib for my Safari and its been flawless. I checked the nib before I switched and once I switched it been a flawless performer. I'm using Noodlers Bad Blue Heron with Clairefontaine paper the only time I experienced skipping was my own fault because after 4 or 5 InCoWriMo letters I was running out of ink. :) If you've never tried a 'fat' nib, I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice change! Lamy makes it very easy for an end user to change nibs on their pens. I have a Vista, a pair of Safari and an AlStar. I bought the 1.5 mm Italic nib just to play with and put it on my Vista, and I have to say that I really enjoy this nib.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around My new Lamy pen is amazing and I love the new nib as well -- amazing how easy it is to change out the nib as soon as I want to rather than waiting to change it with the ink. Make sure to see Brian's video on how to swap out nibs!
