I so wanted to love this ink May 19, 2012
Reviewer: kittoug from Montreal, QC Canada
I have tried the ink sample in Lamy EF, F, and 1.1 italic nibs and found the color to be very light, unsaturated, more light purple with a hint of blue. I tried a swab, and even that is very pale, nothing like the scans I see in reviews of this ink. Too bad!

A new favorite May 4, 2012

I had long heard ink lovers rave about this color but it didn't occur to me to try it sooner. I must be crazy. It is incredibly blue and, like all J. Herbin inks, safe and reliable. I use it in my vintage pens...the ones I worry a little too much over with 'some' inks. I don't worry about Eclat de Saphir.

A great blue for me May 1, 2012
Reviewer: Michael Scott from La Veta, CO United States
I have used Lamy blue in the past and I was almost ready to buy another bottle, but I saw a video with Brian using this ink and I liked the slightly more intense color, so I ordered a bottle, even without a sample first. Glad I did. I lean toward blue, brown and black as my favorite inks and this one stands out for blue. Good flow from my Safari F, on Clairefontane paper. It is a bit more deep and brilliant than Lamy blue. Not overwhelmingly, but enough to make a difference to me. Happy, happy.

Great ink. April 15, 2012
Reviewer: CJ Paul from Omaha, NE United States
Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I wish it had a LITTLE less purple to it.  But its still an interesting color and the way it behaves I think it will end up becoming a staple for me.

Interesting ink March 24, 2012
Reviewer: John from Arlington, VA United States
An intensely-blue ink with a purple undertone that flows freely but dries relatively quickly on most of my papers.
