Alternative to black ink for the office December 9, 2011
Reviewer: Larry Jones from Frederick, MD United States
A very nice ink to use in the office as an alternative to black.  At first glance it could be mistaken for black.  Only upon closer examination do you realize that it is a shade of dark brown, greyish-brown.  Nice ink properties too, shades nicely.  I really like Cacao du Bresil!

Nice sepia June 11, 2011

This is another of J Herbin's pale colors, but would be a pretty match with an ivory paper.

Beautiful ink. . . June 7, 2011
Reviewer: BJ from Escondido, CA United States
This is more of a gray sort of brown, cool rather than warm. Very neutral and nice.

Gorgeous Dark-brownish Gray Ink May 6, 2011
Reviewer: Kenneth Kellogg from Waikiki, Oahu, HawaiI, USA
Another winner from J. Herbin! It is a Brahman ink, in my opinion... very rich and posh, just like the New England elite.

If you look up Taupe in the dictionary... March 28, 2011
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
I would never call this ink brown. To my eyes, it is the definition of Taupe, and even matches the color image on taupe's Wikipedia page perfectly. I love this ink, it is not Apache Sunset or Bay State Blue. You could say it is dull, bland, and boring, but I think it is reliable, subtle, and most importantly, reserved.

The pigment saturation of this ink is very low but if you write more slowly it will be darker. When writing at a steady pace I get no shading whatsoever. The ink flow is good but writes drier in my pen than PR and Noodler's, but as a result has better drying time than the super-saturated PR.
