Lovely ink but... October 17, 2011
Reviewer: Sharon Renick from Trinidad, TX United States
It's a little too green for me.  I actually got it for my oldest granddaughter.  She picked it out.  She's 10 and loves it.  It's her favorite color.  I do believe she'd buy it again.

Lacking something... June 28, 2011
Reviewer: Amber Trawick from Mustang, OK United States
First off, the sample size that GP offers is perfect. I'm only griping about the ink. While its low-feather attributes surprised me, so did the unexpected color and lack of shading. The color seemed so magnificent and different in the bottle, yet when written with, did not look quite the same. If you are curious about this ink, just buy a sample first - I don't think it's worth $18 a bottle.

None quite like it June 1, 2011
Reviewer: Candice Burger from Havana, FL United States
First, the maintenance for the pen is easy.   No nib creep, no leaks, easy to rinse, no fuss or muss.  On cheap copy paper, Double AA paper, and note pads, the ink does not take long to dry, does not show through or feather.  However, I use only fine, medium/fine, or medium nibs (wet and dry); so, the ink may behave differently with broader nibs.

Second, the color is truly a Caribbean Sea color.  It reminds me of a point in Ponce, PR where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean.  Some have suggested that Diamine Marine is the same, but I suggest it is not.  Diamine Marine can mimic this color in a drier, finer nib; but when the nib is broader or wetter, the color difference is very distinctive.  The Caran d'Ache ink will remain true to its Caribbean roots while the Diamine ink will darken with a wetter nib.  Caribbean Sea leans towards green while Marine is definitely bluer.  Caran d'Ache can be a bit on the dry side while Diamine is more saturated and sometimes feels more lubricated.
