...and that is that matching ensembles work VERY well with envelopes and paper! Really classy and elegant design here—do you know the envelopes have "G. Lalo Paris" embossed on the back? And that the lining comes with its own ready-to-seal adhesive tape? And that the inside lining is a rich, dark brown reminiscent of 56% dark chocolate?
It's really the little details that make the package!
The paper itself is beautiful, with a raised, lined texture reminiscent of old handmade papers. (The backside is smooth though.) It's thick and tough, like most Western styled papers seem to prefer, and great for showing off sheen in your inks.
The ivory hued paper seems to match better with more subdued ink colors: R & K Alt Goldgrün, Iroshizuku Ku-jaku, and Diamine Handel are all lovely against it's slightly off-white surface. Avoid overly bright colors as they tend to clash somewhat—same them for your whiter papers. This one demands something subtler, with a vintage touch.
